I'll try and find it, but it was very much factory roof rack, just added on and again - Jeep press vehicle was used.

found it it references the thule

I have to say that this is just what I have been told by a Sydney dealer too... I stand corrected. It seems that a dealer tried to drillinto the roof and contacted the wiring between an airbag and a sensor and set airbag/s off... THat would be very uncool.

I spoke to Rhino today and I am thinking that I may need to do an experiment on my SRT... My Hilux has slotted rails from Rhino, which come in 10cm increments from 1m to 2m odd... I'm thinking of either bolting these with double sided dense tape to the OEM holes under these smooth roof rails... This way I can fit any of the RHINO range. Thoughts?

Re: SRT Roof Rack

this is my setup on my 2012 SRT8
used factory Rails from grand cherokee
Must flip the plastic washers on fwd and rear end of each side
will slide into place and then install ALL bolts.
then install locking cross rails
and then Thule ski Holder
Cost for oem rails around 300.00
cross bars 150.00- 200.00
Thule Ski Rack 150.00
650.00 Total
BS But I guess I could Duct Tape skiis to the roof. LOL!!!
Got Lots of Comments in Park City.

Re: SRT Roof Rack

I just got off the phone with my local parts department and they told me that this would work. He said that I would need to drop the headliner and drill extra holes, etc. Said it's not as easy as buying the rails from an Overland/Summit/etc and replace them. BigCity123 made it seem pretty straight forward. Did you have to drill and new holes? Parts guys said my other option was to get the type of rack that connects directly to the roof frame, which I'm not too found of. Thanks.
