Re: SRT Roof rack

Ok guys - I've been in touch with Yakima in Brisbane regarding the Whispbar roof rack system. As quoted above, they said they do not currently have a system that will bolt straight onto the current faux rails on the SRT. However they are interested in speaking to the guy with the granite SRT to find out how he modified his to fit (any chance Enforcer?) - or if there is anyone in Brisvegas with a 2013/2014 SRT who would be willing to have Yakima trial fit a rack to their car? If there are any takers, contact Helen at Yakima Customer Service on 1800143548.

Hope we can get a good response to this offer - may get a heavily discounted rack fitted for their trouble!

Re: SRT Roof rack

I would try whoever sells the Whispbar in Artarmon (Sydney), as this is where the guy I met got it done. I do not have any contact details for the guy, as I saw him at the shops and asked for the details, knowing people on here wanted roof racks.

Re: SRT Roof rack

Cheers again Enforcer - have e-mailed an Artermon roof rack supplier (hoefully there's only one!) asking the question.

Re: SRT Roof rack

Rack Attack in Denver can do it. They just have to cut the bolts down and therefore the warranty is gone. I debated doing this but in the end went with a different system that I can put on and remove in a matter of a few minutes

Re: SRT Roof rack

Latest SRT roof rack update:

Have had a reply from Roof Rack world in Artarmon confirming they have all the parts that will attach direct onto the SRT faux roof rails! Cost for the rack is $359 and they'll fit it for $40.

Happy days

Re: SRT Roof rack

Hey guys I picked up a set of Whisbar proracks for the standard grand cherokee. They fit up to the SRT rails easy as. It uses the same bolts and mounting points whether or not you have the standard rails or SRT rails. The only difference is the mounting pads. I used the mounting pads I had off a Subaru set I had from my previous car and they sat perfectly on the SRT rails. If you want an even cleaner look you can remove the SRT rails altogether and just mount straight to the roof.
Cheers

Re: SRT Roof rack

Hi guys, I have been offered a set of Whisbar S25W roof racks and want to fit to my SRT. Has anyone got this system to work? If yes, would you mind sharing the model number of the mount and any pictures? Thanks.

Definitely fits. Actually didn't look too bad either, may consider just leaving it on after we use the roof pod.
