srt towing

Has anybody used a srt for towing a decent size caravan in Australia eg 23 foot over long distances. I currently have an Overland turbo diesel but am concerned about the dpf problems and therefore reliability after mine went on a tilt tray twice in 2 days and still not sure if the problem is fixed. As I travel a lot interstate I would hate to get caught in outback qld with this problem. Any views on the SRT and how bad the fuel gets would be appreciated, regards Growler

Re: srt towing

the 14+ SRT is certified/built to tow up to 7200 pounds. More will chime in with fuel usage etc.

Re: srt towing

While the SRT CAN tow, it's probably not the best vehicle for it long term/often.

Fuel usage normally is anywhere from 14l/100 so I reckon you can expect 20l/100 depending on the weight of the van.

Perhaps a Hemi 5.7v8 Overland would suit you better?
