Re: SRT8 vs X5M CAR AND DRIVER LIGHTNING LAP!

Cool article, and as much a glowing review of the x5m, which along with the cost delta, makes the JGC comparison even more impressive. Gotta give the SRT8 guys props for getting in the same cage with Bavaria. Hell, we've already seen the Porsche comps earlier.

Favorite line: "It makes you feel like you can go faster (around a hard turn), until you find yourself rolling in the grass like a giant croquet ball".

Re: SRT8 vs X5M CAR AND DRIVER LIGHTNING LAP!

After watching both driver with the SRT8 Jeeps and X5M i really do believe they are both equivalent. The X5m Driver was far more aggressive and skilled than the SRT8 driver. See for yourself!

The X5 is 10mph faster on the straight of the track. That is where the Jeep is falling short the most. An additional 80-100 horses would make things much different.

That is probably because the driver of the SRT overslowed or didn't carry as much speed thru the corner prior the straight as the X5 driver did.....

It would have been a fairer comparison to have the same driver for both trucks.....

I think two different drivers is strange too. Maybe they took the best times of both drivers? The Bimmer is clearly quicker, faster and sharper in the corners though. Its just not going to change without mods.

I still think the X5 driver was more aggressive, just look at how he was throwing the bimmer into the corners.....

the SRT driver needed some "driving skills mods"
