Re: SRT8 WK2 coming in summer 2011

I said in a thread over a year ago that there most definitely would be a wk2 SRT8. So who's the insider now, huh?

Roadntruck recently released "spied pics" but don't even get close to what I've seeing first hand, that's just a 'mule' built with lots of spare parts, totally unreliable source. Actual SRT8 will get your mouth watering when you see it. It won't turn heads but rather snap necks. I plan on purchasing one myself.

The new 6.4 wasn't developed and brought to production to "make up for platform weight", it was brought out to raise the bar for the entire SRT8 division. While the WK2 SRT will have gained some weight, it is more than compensated for by the 6.4's increased hp and torque performance. As with the other SRT models the released numbers will be conservative. Wait until the track numbers start coming out, then it can be more accurately judged.

Re: SRT8 WK2 coming in summer 2011

The WK2 SRT8 will not disappoint. It's going to be one of the most talked about vehicles on countless forums for a long long time.

Is everyone ready? Fasten your seatbelts, the party begins in a little over two weeks

Re: SRT8 WK2 coming in summer 2011

If they release this truck with chrome door handles and mirrors .... I will be disappointed. How can they not know that chrome when out of style in the 70s?

Still gonna be an awesome truck but I hate to have to put even more money into paintwork to get it to look like it should right from the start. Two steps back.

Honestly... I think they NAILED IT with the low rider edition.... all it was lacking was the 6.4L.

White Chocolate is an unknown quantity at this point
Re: SRT8 WK2 coming in summer 2011

I dunno, I have a feeling it will look different then the above. I personally think the front bumper will be completely reworked. The wheels will be different. The rear will look different.

I dunno, I see a major change from the street edition from sema

Re: SRT8 WK2 coming in summer 2011

It is going to look completely different than the street edition. I do like the street edition, however, and wish they would offer something similar.....color matched plastics and chrome.

This is the final SRT8 disguised as a 'low rider' at SEMA.. Just the interior is different from what we have seeing.. Recaro seats and lots of nicely done stitching. Similar to '11 Dogde R/T Durango.. pics are out there already and it can give you a peek to the SRT8 Inside

Re: SRT8 WK2 coming in summer 2011

^^Lol, exactly. This "insider" is the most "outside" I have seen. Shoot, if he read a few threads on here, he would at least be able to fake it a little better.
