As far as castor and neg. camber, it would definetly help if I were to track it frequently.

Overall, there is a major difference in handling between sport and track mode.

In track mode the traction control is supposedly off, but still kicks in if you try to rotate the truck in a corner.

In sport mode the TC kicks in all the time and there is much more body roll, I will try to post a video later on in sport mode and see if it show the difference....

Thanks for watching.....
Thanks for the detailed reply mate.
I'm impressed the stock brakes lasted so long. Any signs of imminent issues with them, cracking or warping?

I'm keen to hear any more feedback. How did you find the gearing? Would an 8 speed box be beneficial to keeping it in the power range? Was there any signs of temperatures getting too high?

No problems that I could see with the brakes other than fading, but that is to be expected with stock pads and fluid. The rotors held up well.

As far as the gearing, it seemed like it is in desperate need of at least one more gear, specifically between 2nd and 3rd, that is the power zone on the track that was too high for 2nd and not so peppy in 3rd.

I am not so sure if the 8 speed is necessary, unless you really like to play with your paddle shifters..... I think 6 speed would be just fine.

Anyway, I didn't see any temps getting out of wack, so that is a sign that the truck loves the track.

Hope it helps.....

Re: SRT8s running at a road course.....

Great showing for the current Jeep SRT8!

I finally got the chance to view both your videos. Nice quality! You and QuickOne might have changed some people's opinions about performance SUVs on the track with your driving!

I thought you ordered your Jeep SRT8 with the 3 season performance tires, so I was surprised to read that you ran the course with all-seasons. What a rebel!
I know by just pushing this SUV on some highway exit ramps that the all-seasons squeal like a little girl. I'm sure it was a thrill out there anyways.

I'm looking forward to the SRT Driving experience. Maybe their Jeep SRT8 will be wearing proper tires at that event?
BRAVO

Thanks Transam. You would have had a great time. Did you ever make it up to Epping?

I looked at their upcoming schedule and I'm unavailable for any of those dates.
I guess I'll have to wait until Watkins Glen in September.

Re: SRT8s running at a road course.....

That was bad ass! Only thing slowing you guys down was a few Porsche's, BMW's, and that Orange/Black hotrod (Viper?).

Would have loved to see the look on the various sports car driver's faces as a few Jeeps rolled up on them in the rear view! Bwwaaahaaahaaa, get outta my way suckas!

+rep Doc, nicely done.
