Stainless Works

To all:

I've had stainless works headers on since my supercharger install. Yesterday I finally had the headers back exhaust installed. I did the chambered, not the turbo muffler.

My goodness, it's fascinating. Smoothest tone I've ever heard. Couldn't be happier.

I bought everything from auto anything. They used to have a 15% off and free shipping coupon that worked, so I got stuff really really cheap and new.

Couldn't be happier. Highly recommend it. Will probably put videos up tomorrow

Re: Stainless Works

I'm really leaning towards this set up (catback only) for my 15'. Can anyone shed some light on difference between the chamber and turbo s style mufflers?

Re: Stainless Works

I'll see what I can do. Non stop rain for last two days. Turbo is loud and obnoxious, chambered is not. Auto anything is best pricing

Re: Stainless Works

I don find the Turbo muffler obnoxious at all.. It has the right loudness and bass. Perfect for daily driven.

Re: Stainless Works

Please don't take offense. I haven't heard them side by side, just repeating what other people have said with other cars. My neighbors don't like my cars, but that's because they're all loud except the wife's suburban.

I saw your exhaust clip in the other thread and I think it sounds great. I was just looking for thoughts on the 2 before I order. I called SW today and they suggested the chamber muffler if using their headers and the turbo if sticking with stock headers. He told me the chamber with stock headers is barely any louder than stock. I just don't want anything to loud. I'm just looking for a deeper tone. I am not a fan of the raspy sound that a lot of other exhaust systems seem to have. If anybody happens to have the SW chamber mufflers with stock headers I would love to hear your thoughts or a sound clip.

Re: Stainless Works

Good thought. August77, do you have headers? Mine is pretty decently loud with the carted headers and the chambered exhaust. Deep pure tone for sure, but you can hear me driving in the neighborhood and down the street for sure.

I haven't had anyone drive the car and me listen outside yet. It's loudest point is between idle and 2000rpm. After initial take off from a stop light, and normal throttle, above 2k, it's absolutely perfect.

It sounds like a beast of an SUV.... That it is....

My headers are still stock.. I got the Turbo, coz I wanted to keep the headers stock.

Re: Stainless Works

I have the full system (SW Headers and Cat-Back) on my car. Smoothe is the perfect way to describe it. No raspiness at all, no drone at all, just pure deep mellow tone all throughout the range. My car was the car they used for their promo vid:
