Standard black seats w/ suede question

So as I'm trying to decide between the Laguna leather seats which feel amazing and the standard black seats that I prefer the look of, I have a question.

Do the black seats break-in at all? When I sat in the Laguna seats, it seemed like the cushion foam was just a little softer and allowed you to sit "in" the seats. The standard seats felt stiffer, like you were sitting "on" them. Maybe it was just the suppleness of the Laguna leather that's throwing me off, but the stiff bottom section of the black seats seemed to conflict with their sporty, well-bolstered design.

Do the standard seats soften up at all over time?

Re: Standard black seats w/ suede question

from what I know...the seats are the exact same minus the covers. I love my black seats.....driven 2 round trips from KY to Fl this summer....over 2000 miles each time and I was comfortable the whole time. No butt pains, back pain or tired back/butt. The ventilated seats are awesome. The comfort is awesome IMHO.

Re: Standard black seats w/ suede question

I would not say that they "break in" over time or get softer. They are what they are when you buy it.

-28k miles on my 2012
-11k miles on my 2014

Thanks for the info. Sounds like I need to go on another test drive. This time avoiding any seat time in a Laguna equipped machine.

Scottina - I'm trying to remember without going back to a dealer: The 8-way front seats with 4 way lumbar - what all is adjustable? Does it include height adjustment? Thanks! (my Ecodiesel is still in pre-release status)

Re: Standard black seats w/ suede question

Sorry guys - I didn't phrase my question very well. What I meant was the seat itself, not the lumbar. Besides fore and aft, and seat back recline, can you adjust the height and/or tilt of the seat itself. Thanks!

I definitely raised and lowered the seat on my test drive the other day.

Re: Standard black seats w/ suede question

FWIW: I was under the impression that there is a different foam in the Laguna vs Stock that gives that feel you describe.
