No its not really out of nowhere from what I understand with other guys comment in this post, its because of the summer temperature. I had 4.6 in winter and now I'm always getting 5.6 sec approx. I had a 2012 5.7L and still today I haven't heard anything such as a full tune. So what I'm thinking it will be years before all the mods and that the diablo trinity will be worth the money when someone has figured out a full tune. Sad cuz I always want more power! I'm addicted now

0-60 is directly correlated to:
  • Intake Temp
  • Exhaust Temp
  • Trans Temp

The OEM system is going to do a mathematical split on those temps and deliver power that "won't break things". There is no over ride for this. In our case, hot or cold we've seen sub 3.8 0-60 in the 4 2014's we've had at the shop with RIPP SUperchargers. Our best run was 3.5 with a 65 ambient. But based on our finding the torque delivery has a lot to do with it. As the program matures we will get tighter and tighter. This will likely be either Diablo tool firmware updates and/or RIPP Tune updates. We are consistent enough now to say we can launch.

Re: started at 4.6 sec to 5.7 sec 0-60!??

What gets me also is the difference weight makes in good weather vs hot weather. When it's hot and humid the difference between a full tank of gas and/or passengers and an empty tank is huge. I may pull off a 4.6 0-60 on Empty in 90degrees and 85% humidty. Fill up with gas and I'll run run a 5.2 or higher. It's also worth noting that once the all seasons go past 7 or 8k miles they spin a lot hurting my times. I'm only talking good tire times here.

Then in the winter I can have an empty tank and run a 4.2, fill it up and run a 4.0. Probably because they extra weight is helping it grip more. I'm willing to bet though 1/4 mile will be slower with extra weight however.

I can definitely say that humidity hurts more than heat. On the rare days we have high heat and "low" humidity (60% in Houston) the car really wakes up.

We can tell you on the dyno can see a swing of 30WHP with a muggy day - the 2012 we have here whit 561whp yesterday 90deg dry and 540whp 78deg but muggy.

Stock it DID A 5.5sec 0-60 according to his data - with headers/exhaust on 22's, body kit and VERY large subs in the back.... Its now doing 4.5 0-60 today (muggy and hot).

Damn, so I am pretty much in the worst place on earth, very hot and almost 100% humidity. Time for a RIPP charger?

A-Kon thanks for this info at least now I know my jeep is in good health and the drop in times are normal. Makes me feel better.

We are ready when you are - the kit we had packed up for your SRT went to Austin Weiss of the Garage Inc in Florida (Instagram)... We have one factored in when you tell us you're ready.
