Perfect I just made the call to press them from this direction as well. The SRT hotline has yet to fail me!

Wow, so with the new Purely tires you still get the shimmy.

Yes I have the same set up with different rims and mine shakes terribly from 60-75 mph.

That sucks. Well I just got a call from my dealership informing me that my Jeep is ready. I asked about the shimmy and of course they said its fixed. We'll see. I will post back with results when I pick it up this evening.

So I picked up my Jeep from the dealership after replacing the front hub/bearing assembly. Drove on the highway on the way home and was only able to get up to 55-60 MPH due to traffic. No shimmy but I need to get to 65-70 in order to test it. Of course I'll post back in a few days.

So I still have the shimmy!!! Not happy. I just thought I would check if I could see the new hub and bearing assembly they installed. These are pics from the inside of the wheels as I had the steering wheel turned. The surface rusted part near the boot, isn't that the hub and bearing assembly? I was expecting a shiny new part. Or is the assembly hidden?

Re: steering wheel vibration - TSB 6-11-14

Did they tell you that they actually replaced the hub bearing? Or do they just say it was fixed. I read the TSB and there a few things they do before actually replacing the part. Road force balance and alignment being some of them.

They ordered the assembly, called me to let me know the part came in and they installed it. They said they also did a road force balance again. I think I need you remove the wheel and brake rotor to see the hub/bearing assembly.

Went to a tire shop this morning, they put both front wheels on the road force machine to check how my dealership did. Front left read 9 front right read 3. We both agreed that was pretty darn good so we left as is. With those good numbers why does the steering wheel still shimmy between 60-70 Mph? Is it possible that the RFB machine does not pick up a slightly out of round tire? So frustrated. I made another appointment with the dealership for October 11th.

Also, while the wheels were off I had the chance to confirm that the dealership did replace the hub/bearing assembly. Nice shinny new hubs.
