Stock 2015 srt jeep goes 13.19@103.28mph atco

Took my beast to atco raceway yesterday. She has about 5300 miles. All stock. Had 3/4 tank of gas and about 50 pounds of crap in the back. Pana roof, tow hitch, spare tire equipped.

Got there at about 11:40am. Temp was high 50's. Not sure on the DA . We all know this is a fast, well prepped track.

First run, which was my best, I had about a half hour cool down(hood up between runs). Drove around water box, Track mode, traction control and stock tire pressure on all runs.

Used launch control. Not sure what's the deal.but no matter how long I hold the pedal down the rpms don't build past 2100. This generated my best time but on a prepped vht covered track there is way more to be had.

1/8-8.448@82.97mph
1/4-13.195@103.28mph

I was very happy with this pass. I was hoping for a 13.5 at 102 so this was very exciting. But now I wanted that 12.999!

Second pass at 1pm(temps rose a bit by then to over 60F)this time I used launch control and tried to paddle shift my way down he track. I rarely use the paddles so this cost me . I hit the rev limiter in second gear killing my hopes of a 12. But I realized the paddles provided more top end and my mph pick up from the 1/8 to the 1/4 was 1.5+_. Again I couldn't build more than 2100 on the launch feature
60'-1.920
1/8-8.855@81.68mph
1/4-13.638@103.13mph

3rd and final run after a 3 hour wait was another let down. Even though I had amample time to cool the jeep down, I was not firt in line and his require me to start and stop the truck while waiting for my run. Engine Temps were higher than previous runs. Anyway. This time I decided not to use launch and instead torque break this bitch. Also used paddles. Brought her up to 3100 and left hard but my lack of experience with the paddles cost me as I think I got slight wheel slippage(4season tires)causing the rpm to jump and I slightly tapped the damn limiter again. This is why the 60' was the worst of the three but the initial hit was strong! Definite 1.8. I stayed in it regardless and it wasn't bad as the jeep barreled down to nearly the same trap speed as run 1.

60'-2.011
1/8-8.623@82.29mph
1/4-13.391@103.27mph

Is the new 2015 jeep a 12 second stock truck. IMHO yes. In slightly better air, he'll maybe even this air was good enough if I could drive the damn thing, 1/4 to 1/8 tank of fuel and remove the crap in the back I think so. Makes me want to wait on installing my cai and gt haus system and try again. Or maybe not

Still not bad for a heavy SUV.

You can dial up the RPM for Launch Control up to 3000rpm by holding down the LC button and turning the Selec-trac dial clockwise after pressing it once. That should help your times in the future.

Lol yea I know. Honestly I decided to go at 1am Sunday morning so didn't have much time to prep. Plus I filled her up that Saturday too.

I tried the dial routine and that didn't work either! Fml. The one time the revs did build was holding the gas pedal down a few seconds. That happened a few months ago. I have to get this sorted out because 2100 on the launch on vht felt like I was towing a super carrier.

Also. The on board timer is pretty accurate in the 1/4. My 13.19 run was logged on the dash as 13.2 and the 13.39 run came in at 13.3.

Lastly. The 13.19 run in 60ish degree weather was a 4.9 0-60. Now my best on the street in freezing temps was 4.2. Later that night when I got home from the track the temps had fallen to 47f and I recorded a 4.4 0-60 time. Long story short, IMHO if one could get all these things in line and in negative da I really think this truck can click off 12.80's. Very impressed and satisfied with this thing. Might even get more fun as the miles build up and she loosens up more.

Ok so I was able to adjust the launch rpm after watching that YouTube video more closely. I didn't know you have to hold launch down while turning the damn knob. Seems like the highest the rpms will build to is 3200. Is that correct or are you guys seeing higher rpms? Is there a screen that tells you what the launch rpms is set at. Seems a little awkward just spinning the knob and counting every click as 100rpm increase. This isn't that easy when staging at a drag strip either. Lots to think about. Plus is it ok to use launch control and then paddle shift? All videos seems to show people using auto mode. Thanks again jim
