Re: Stock Wheels Back On :(

This is exactly why I'm hear preching about the way we FEA all our wheel to the vehicle us and HRE are the only ones doing it to my knowledge.
Honestly I knew this would happen and even told Scott your spokes scare me I think Scott will recall.

All I know is I'm glad your O.K. get your money back and let me build you a set bro feel free to text me if you have any issues with the MFG too k?

Glad your Safe Bro I almost feel bad I dint email you when I saw them I just don't want to offend people and say you should have bought from me as most would see that as not cool and me just trying to earn business.

Had to come back and Edit this because I just gotta bring attention to TOM's wheels they are also scary. Please be careful buddy!!
I may be able FEA them for him if he wants to be proactive at no cost (well I'll pay) noting is free these days LOL.

The plot thickens:

ANOTHER 4 PIECE CRACKED WHEEL - COR Product

This thread has a bunch of things sprinkled into it throughout
This is why I will only buy JWL certified wheels.

This will definitely make me really research any future wheel purchases.

Wow!!!
That is scary stuff. Wheel makers may be "cheaping out" on the materials while playing life and death with their customers/families. Not good at all.

Re: Stock Wheels Back On :(

Well, I've decided to ask for a full refund tomorrow. That or store credit equal towards my purchase price for another set of wheels. I feel this is a reasonable request and hope the distributor does the right thing. I am in wholesale manufacturing and eat things like this daily. It's part of the business. Often a replacement product is offered to our customer, but they insist they don't want it and ask for credit. I always give them credit.

The distributor will remain unnamed until the verdict is reached tomorrow. If he makes good I will sing praise and promote him. If he refuses then my real campaign starts. Facebook, Instagram, and every forum I can think of.

Interested to hear the outcome. Based on this I'm going to stick to my stock rims and go with a black powder coat.

Re: Stock Wheels Back On :(

A-Kon, you are truly blessed so glad everyone is safe!!

It's crazy I was going to buy a set of Niche wheels an after speaking with the manufacturer and the dealer they both told me that I could only get a Monotec/Monoblock wheel cause of this exact reason and they both stressed to me that these jeeps make so much torque that I cannot take that kind of chance. Now this is the kicker, once they told me how much the wheels were I had to do some more saving a lot more saving! Then my boy sold his jeep and got his wheels on a bit of a discount.

Please keep us up to date. I hope the full refund is what you get you just can't trush these wheels at all especially with the family riding around in it!! Best of luck to you...

Re: Stock Wheels Back On :(

^ Niche monoblock is what I originally wanted. I had the money but $6k sounded a lot more outrageous than $5k. Instead I purchased out of state and used cash (paypal) to save about $600-700. Biggest regret of my life. Had I paid with my Amex I'd simply send the wheels back and dispute the charges.

The distributor has a no return on custom wheels policy clearly printed on his website. It will be up to him to decide whether or not he wants to do the right thing. I'll start my marketing war and if all else fails I'll put the wheels for sale on ebay with full disclosure, and then purchase a proper set of monoblocks.
