One Lap Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8
The list of custom equipment on this Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 is short but significant, as it could foreshadow some future accessory offerings from Mopar. This particular example is outfitted with Viper front seats and racing harnesses, which probably won't be factory options, but for those who are determined to romp the 5000-plus-pound SUV around a track, the One Lap SRT8 features a Sport Bar (not quite a full rollbar) a prototype lowering kit, lightweight wheels, and rear spoiler.

Re: BEWARE*** IForged and Forgestar wheels :(

I'm in negotiations with Strasse Forged now for a monoblock wheel. He said in 22" their monoblocks are 5lbs lighter per wheel than their 3-piece! That's huge especially considering the reduction is where the weight matters (farthest point out from center).

The wheels are pricey and not super well known yet. I do know multiple SRTs have been running their thin spoke design for a couple of years now with no problems. The founder was one of the original founders of HRE (allegedly) and they use 100% USA aluminum. Also a thanks to Chad for reminding me about this company.

I like Chris Strasse a lot. He's a cool guy and bad ass wheels.

Just powder the stockies and call it a day! Throwing $5k+ at wheels is just insane imo. You can buy a decent used car for that much haha.

No reason to powder coat them. I love the black chrome. What I can't stand is the ride. Normally I could give two shits about offending people, however there are some good people doing this here so no disrespect intended...that is running inferior tires on the stock wheels. I refuse to run a different size tire on the stock wheels and I refuse to run an inferior tire.

The 305/35r22 Pirelli is nearly identical rolling diameter as stock, has the proper speed and load ratings, and rides great. I know because I have a couple of thousand miles on them. It's also a non run flat. I kid you not it's a night and day difference in comfort over the stock 20s. I thought maybe it was my imagination but after going from stock-aftermarket-stock again I'm blown away. Stiff and bouncy suspension is fine for me, in fact I love it. What I don't love is the teeth breaking jarring of the OEM run flats. Considering how cush the ride was with a proper load rated tire and no runflat I can't even begin to imagine how sloppy a non-proper load rated non-runflat would ride with another inch of sidewall over the 22s.

It's like when my dad finally listened to me and took the run craps off of one of his Vipers and went with the regular Michelins. Night and day difference. Like a new car.

This is the only reason I purchased 22s in the first place. I have a near brand new set of Pirellis sitting at my office. They need some wheels for them!

Do you mean Chris Carrillo? Is that the founder? I've been dealing with Robert and JR.

"Strasse" means Street in German

One man's insane is another man's minimum requirement...

For 5K, you could have bought a 6x6 5-ton, plus another for spare parts.

^ You're absolutely right...I spent another $5k on a .308 AR10, Swarovski 4-12x50 Scope, Tactical Quick Release Mount, and Trijicon RMR Red Dot with offset mount

Never claimed to be. In person I'm as down to earth as they get. I just don't play bullshit games or hide intentions. What you see is what you get. The average Joe can't handle that, it causes them to short circuit...but for the few who get it they know I'll give them the shirt off my back...and when all of the Politically Correct people who smile in your face vanish, I'm the one who's still there. God forbid you look at my Instagram pics and captions..it takes a special type of humor and outlook to appreciate it. But that's as far as I'll go into that matter. Carry on

Then again I could just be a master troll who marches to the beat of his own drummer. Hook line and sinker
