Strange dealer experience
In my quest to trade my Overland for an SRT, I found a good prospect at a nearby Jeep dealer. When I got there, I find the SRT was in a part of the lot that was not paved, closely surrounded by other vehicles (could not open the rear hatch). The sill plates and mats were filthy and covered with mud. I asked the salesman to move it so I could see it better, he tried to do it, but it would not start. Cranked and cranked, but no go. He said it was probably out of gas. I asked him to put in some premium fuel, he said it used 87 octane but he couldn't find his gas can anyway. When we talked about the trade, he offered me about $6000 less than I thought my Overland was worth. I made him an offer, he laughed and said Grand Cherokees were a dime a dozen at the auction sites. I left, but just as I got through the door he caught me and said he would accept my deal. I told him I didn't want to do business with him and any price.
I bought a '14 SRT at another dealer later that day - much nicer experience.
