Question Suggested Maintenance - Approaching 100K Quick!

I'm starting to budget for a major dose of recommended and beyond maintenence on my 2014 Jeep SRT that is quickly approachign the 100K mile mark.

Vehicle was purchased in October 2013 and i'm sitting at 90,500 miles as of today! Only major issue was the water pump needed to be replaced around 65K miles.

with that being said i'm compiling a list of items I want done to refresh the vehicle and keep it running well for the next large batch of miles I intend to put on her! Any other suggestions to the below would be greatly appreciated.
  • Power Steering Flush
  • 4WD Service (Front & Rear Diff T Case)
  • Fuel Service
  • Tune Up ( spark plugs etc)
  • Transmision Case (pan/filter/flush ) *i'm aware this is a lifetime fill but i want it done*
  • Brake Fluid Flush
  • Coolant Flush

Suggested Maintenance - Approaching 100K Quick!

Every jeep I've owned the radiator always like to go around 100-120k and always in the summer. Those plastic radiators don't last forever!

And don't forget new hoses!

Re: Suggested Maintenance - Approaching 100K Quick!

If you are hitting 100k id put a new serpintine belt on there also. They arnt that expensive and better to change around 100k rather than wait for them to break. They are kinda like batteries fairly low cost, they may last a few more years but do you want to be stuck somewhere trying to streach them a little farther.

That looks like a good list but be prepared for that to cost a good bit if from dealer. They will want $1000 just for the trans fluid vhange alone. But i agree changing it is good if you plan to keep the jeep.

My 2012 has 86k miles.

My 6.4 has had the Transcooler and condenser replaced, they found dried coolant at the seems. this was under maxcare and was close to my cost would have been $2200

Depending you may want to have your parking brake assembly checked and adjusted. or shoes and hardware replaced. mine needed to be replaced when i had my rear brakes replaced again at 70k.

Im not sure you can Flush the ZF8. I think it's just a whole pan assembly drop and refill. Be prepared to get raped on this the pan/filter is 1 piece combo is like $250 then Lifeguard 8 fluid cost

*** PCV valve you can do your self in like under 3 minutes **** Save yourself the money
PCV part# 05038532AA

It litterally untwists and pulls out.

it's a 5.7 but the 6.4 is exactly same steps

I would double verify that trans fluid change price, that $325 sounds too good to be true for the 2014+ with the 8HP70. Several on here have reported in the $700-$1000 range to have the trans fluid changed. just the pan filter part is around $300 and then the dealer will want over $40 per quart for fluid and they will throw a few hundred labor in. If you can get all that for $325 great take it and run but I suspect they gave a price for the 2013 and below trans not the 2014+.

Also Real Lifeguard 8 has a green tint to it according to their msds and I can only seem to find it at about $35 a QT and the Pan with bolts etc is $285

maybe they quoted you labor Lol and just a drain n fill not a pan drop.

Re: Suggested Maintenance - Approaching 100K Quick!

Here is the best I have seen on the lifeguard for the DIY not a bad price if you buy the 12 pack. dealer will want twice that much for the identical stuff that is dumped in a mopar bottle. never been able to find a decent price on the pan though.

LifeGuard 8 Transmission Fluid

Wow that's a lot of miles. Glad to hear no major issues. How often did you service the transfer case/diff?

Weak. Mine went out around 37k. Actually, it was leaking and I noticed the smell before it conked out on me. Replaced under warranty.
