My towbar is made by best bars a Kiwi company Rated at 2962kg, but if you convert what they are allowed to in the states it works out to 3200 kgs, don't understand the difference, any way there is a topic on ithttp://www.jeepgarage.org/f163/tow-package-for-2014-srt-67877.html

Thanks nav12c- that's great to know. I've got mine booked in for Friday week for them to do their thing so if they screw it up then I'll know it's a short term relationship.....

Re: Sydney SRT Club

Good to know Snuke, I just assumed that the SRT had the same rating as my old CRD.
I now know it is only 2949kg, not 3500kg.

Well, the Leichhardt dealer has ordered 4 new TPMS units for me- when they checked mine they said that none of them were receiving. So at least thats some positive news. The 4 new ones come from the US, so about 6 weeks- another couple to go. They didnt mention anything about my DRL ribbon mod- dont think they noticed. They will definitely screw up my plasti-dip painted Spider Monkeys when they replace the TPMS's, but that's OK- I think I will paint the wheels in metalic black anyway at that stage. I'll let you know how it goes.
Is it actually possible for you to go to another dealer if you are unsatisfied with their work?

In terms of warranty work , you can go to any dealer you please. As for general maintenance , you can go wherever you like as long as it's registered with the motor vehicle authority of your state. My vehicle has never seen a dealer mechanic and never will other than for recalls and the like. I prefer to service myself at a friends garage. I've spent the past 20 years as a mechanic and I'm not about to let some snotty nosed apprentice any where near my best part of a hundred grand.

Re: Sydney SRT Club

Drove from Sydney to the Gold Coast yesterday- 850klms, 9 hours 50 mins, and 11.6 litres to the 100 klm- fark that is pretty good mileage for a 6.4l single over head cam! My FPV F6X only ever got to 12 something. Haven't mathematically worked it out but close to or just over a full tank- 94 litres.

Krisd mine has been to the GC twice, the first time I got 11 lt to the 100 both directions and two weeks ago on the way up I got 10.4 lt to the 100, I'll be leaving sunday see what I get on the way home. The only difference between the two trips was I replaced the OEM air filter with a K&N before I came up this time, ohh and I did it in 9 hours and 10 min ☺.
