Hi mate,

I just got mine fitted in Melbourne By Invisible Car Bras - Victoria Australia

From what I learned the Ventureshield and Scothguard is a the same. As Scotchguard is made by 3M and 3M bought Ventureshield company.

But the one I got fitted on Mine is made by Premium Shield, which is made by the ex-owner of VentureShield.

Can't Dan just put on a clear 3M something something for you instead?

Re: Sydney SRT Club

He can but he doesn't have a template for the SRT.

This is the answer I got from the ebay seller:

Yes, it will fit a 2014Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT.

They are both made by 3M out of the same material and same thickness. 3MScotchgard has a clear coat finish that is more resistant to scuffiing, scratches, bug juice, etc. 3M Ventureshield has a smooth finish and is easierfor the DIY installer.

Thank you.

I have templates just don't like cherry red SRT's
The materials thick so hard be machine cut, and I don't have the template to do it, it's actually cheaper from overseas too go figure...

I'm a single parent until mid morning on the 15th (wifey returns from overseas) so that would rule me out- bugger it!

Looking forward to the next meet though. Good to see some northern beaches guys getting on board- was begining to think the SRTs were a Hills exclusivity! lol........

Re: Sydney SRT Club

Has anyone had their alarm randomly go off?

I've now had mine go off 3 times since Nov and and two of those times were in the middle of the night (3am ish). Needless to say, the neighbours aren't too impressed !!

tbh, i didnt even know it had an alarm till i heard it the first time and thought it was someone else's car..

I didnt know either Coxey- I left my son in the car when getting a coffee and he set the alarm off.

But, I also had the mother of all cockroaches crawling around in there- the thing was the size of a rat! I actually wondered if it was a Mexican roach, as in made it over from the plant. Are you sure you got nothing crawling around inside?

haha, hope the roach had a visa ! But yes, I guessed there must be a sensor somewhere that is triggering the alarm and I wondered if possibly something was crawling across the windscreen (i.e. spider etc). When the car is locked I have tried everything to set it off and for the life of me cannot get it to go off.

I did also see on the forums some reference to the bonet (hood) having a sensor? Or i might be mistaken..

Might give the service guys a call, surely I'm not the only one this has happened to.

Re: Sydney SRT Club

There are sensors inside the car in the overhead console. I left the windows open once and a gust of wind must of sent a leaf or something inside and set it off.

I'm not certain, but I think if you have it fully locked and give the tyre a massive kick with your boot it will set it off, as will trying to tow/lift it.
