Re: Sydney SRT Club

Great to see your cars are almost here guys. Only a couple of weeks now

With that in mind I mapped out a drive day for us. It has the option to be a near full day trip or just a couple of hours depending on what people want to do (i'm all for the whole day trip of 5hrs plus a lunch stop lol). As quite a few of us live in the Hills District I figure we could all meet up and head off together? For others not in our area I have a few spots where we can meet up to say hello then continue on our way. We can even make a detour to where our cars get unloaded off the boat if that's of interest to anyone? Heading back home people can choose to veer off the route wherever is suits them to head home. I'll find a fuel/loo stop along the way as well. I reckon a full tank would get us home but with lots of twisty/hilly roads its better to be safe.

Next thing to consider is when to do it. My preference is a Saturday so that we have the Sunday to relax before going back to work.

Thoughts?

Re: Sydney SRT Club

Hey Rob,

Looks good to me mate, Been a few years since i have done that run, and always been in RWD cars LOL.

I used to take the ute club i ran out along the edge of the coal terminal to the very end, and there is some nice photos to be had down there.

Just need my SRT now LOL.

And yes, Saturday would better suite me as well.
Hey we could even do Chicko's for lunch if we timed it all right!

Have fun

Marc

Sounds good Rob. I've been itching to take the white beast out for a run.

Sorry you had issues there Jason.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, I rocked up there today at 3.30pm to see if they could fit my Borla Atak which had arrived yesterday. Rob the service manager lent me his car and said come back at 5.30. I get a call at 4.30 saying job is done already! Can't ask for any better than that I reckon.

Rob i am not sure why you keep pushing the point about castle hill. i told you in person how fuked they were and you agreed it was very bad service, But then you keep singling me out like i owe something to them or you in a weird way.
sure you have sold some cars for the bloke so that would make the service for you even better as he is getting his numbers up off you!
Its great your helping other members out
But im not interested in hearing any more about how they kiss your a55.

Just look below at the other members that were put through crap from castle hill jeep. 1 good response does not out way the fact there are a handful of guys explaining they had there WORST car buying experience from castle hill jeep !

I'm not one to publicly air my greavences but it's still a sore point and feel you guys should know about it.

They tried to tell me that smoked headlight reflectors, and melting light sockets could not be exchanged under warranty, because they considered them not to be a safety item.

The facts are the facts mate, they have a consistent record of the WORST Service, so lets leave it at that.

I don't read that as Rob singling you out in any way shape or form, he is simply replying to the first of what was a string of comments re Castle Hill.
Chill a little, it's not all about you.

After the insane dick around he got from Waitara, and then the latest bit of help, it is only fair that he offers a counter and latest update to continuing good service he has experienced.

I may not have positive thoughts of Castle Hill, but I am not going to get my panties in a bunch because someone else has something nice to say about them. Just as Rob wouldn't get all offended if I replied to a comment about his negative experience about Waitara with my positive one.

I dont see any of the other guys names there mate so im pretty sure it was singled/directed at me.
And i am pretty chill DUDE.. ive met the bloke and Marc they can confirm im very laid back.

So first i dont wear panties and second i simply i dont need to be involved in the castle hill jeep sargar.

I had put forward my facts on the service so its the end of it as far as i was concerned many posts ago, i just dont see why it needs to get brought up over and over like now.

i am not angry , upset , or cranky, i didn't see any hate symbols in that post either,
So there isnt really any need for the knight in shinning Armour routine mate, i was just laying the cards out i didnt want /need any direct posts about them.
any way, i am off to shine the beast up and get the bugs off.
I hope you all read this and go yeah kewl no issue sorted and move on and have a good weekend
peace out!

Re: Sydney SRT Club

i keep ready heaps of exhaust posts we all do as we want the best sound ,But i was just cleaning the beast and was thing that what if we didn't change the back part that we just added in the headers on the stock system and see what that does.

I know that mine wasn't sounding that flash with a custom exhaust until i put the headers on now its pretty good, by the looks i should be getting my GT Haus this week so when my exhaust mate goes to put it on i might get him to put the factory system on my headers and see what that sounds like. maybe you could keep the stock system and just add headers ?
just a thought no science to back me up lol

Re: Sydney SRT Club

Cage, give me another day before I say who what & where. It was organised for me albeit at a pretty standard price for AU. I'll get some pics/vid tomorrow maybe when I compare it to another member who had an S type fitted the same day. I forgot where you live but your welcome to come by and have a listen/drive.

As I said earlier Castle Hill Jeep fitted it for me in an hour. Not a perfect fit but i'll adjust that anyway.

Sound if EFFINN awesome lol. I love it. I reckon i'll just leave it as is for a while till I get used to it and then decide if I want to remove the centre muffler for a bit more rumble.
