Re: Sydney SRT Club

Is this what you paid?

Paint Coat $1295

Comprehensive nationwide lifetime warranty which includes protection against berry stains, bird and bat droppings, tree sap, salt air spray and acid rain.

Contains the unique active ingredient Titanium dioxide (scientifically proven) to protect against the harsh Australian UV rays from damaging your vehicle.

You never need to wax, buff or polish to keep that high gloss showroom finish saving you time and money.

Leather Preserver $795

Lanolin based formula locking in the natural moisture of the leather

UV protection to prevent discolouration and cracking

Protects against staining caused by spillages and dirt

Lifetime nationwide guarantee

Some X-Pack service.

I passed on that, and would do so again.
For protection I would go either of these two options:

Ceramic Pro

Opticoat

Apparently the Ceramic Pro guy - Scott Free is very hard to get a hold off, and not a very helpful booking system.

Both are faaaaaaar cheaper and you will then know who you are dealing with.
Still not decided which one I will go with. Maybe Permaguard if I can find out how much it costs. Seems to be only done at some dealerships, so it will hurt.

I paid $2300 through Motor One which included the windows tinting of all windows, paint and leather protection.

Re: Sydney SRT Club

Just remember they wont tint to match the rears, they will only do the legal 35%.

Check the gap alignment, especially the tailgate/tail light gaps. As hard as it is, take some time checking all panels for paint marks (I found 3 that have been recorded on my customer file).

2. Check the tire shine product is water based
3. 2 keys
4. jack etc
5. should i get them to tint the windows or get it done myself?
Yep, don't bother with window tint, common things i would look out for:
1. Flaring detatching from body
2. Panel alignment, rear left door around window not flush with body
3. Rear hatch handle not flush with hatch
4. Rear hatch alignment
5. Centre console parts not aligned correctly
6. Roof lining around windows
7. Paint blemishes and check for dents

I was fortunate only to have one of these, but i know of others who have had many of the above, hoping you have a good sample and best of all enjoy!

Cheers

Hi Snuke,

Sorry to hear we are hard to get a hold of! Not sure if it was yourself that experienced this or its just something someone told you?

Certainly not here to sell myself but if we ever don't answer it is best to leave a message and we will definitely call you back within the hour, same goes for email enquiries!

Alternatively we pride our self on having an easy booking form on our website that our competitors don't have!

Re: Sydney SRT Club

Ok, so to get back to this thread being about the Sydney SRT Club does anyone want to do this day trip with me or am I on my own? I'm thinking Sat 8th March (im busy each Sat in Feb now). Gives you all a month's notice to book some man time away from the WAG's lol. If you don't want to do the whole trip there are several places you can veer off and head home.

While it would be nice to have company, i'm going anyway :

Re: Sydney SRT Club

Is the route that you posted originally still the same? If so, I believe you must be coming right past us.

See that Douglas Park entry right next to Picton...

Happy to feed and water and see you on your way (but require a sit-in and fiddle around with an SRT in return).

I have an Overland to occupy yourselves with whilst I fiddle and you eat.

Oh and edited to say: Sorry - intruding on the 'man-time'. I will make myself scarce though fiddling with your SRT's.

Oh and edited again to say: Please don't feel obliged to drop by. I do understand that 'Man-thing'. (Sort of).

EDIT again, just realised Douglas Park is a suburb lol.

Sorry to be off topic Rob, just to clarify this for anyone reading.
It was a very satisfied customer on Whirlpool forums, they just mentioned it was very difficult to get a mutual time/day finalised.

As for your drive day Rob, even though I don't have an SRT, happy to join you, though I'm in Taipei March 8, but only keep me as a back up consideration if none of the actual SRT owners join you.

No prob SNUKE, not having a dig at anyone in particular, just that the day trip post got lost several pages back lol.
