Whilst a few guys said they may be interested, no one has committed to it. Looks like Cygnet and Radknight cant do March. I cant do Feb weekends. That's ok though, i'm fine going on my own if others cant make it. At least I wont have to wait for others to catch up lol.

While it would be nice to have company, i'm going anyway :
Rob - sorry can't do the 8th - we are down the far south coast that weekend - 15th, 22nd all good but not the 8th - maybe next time.

Re: Sydney SRT Club

Not that I want to wade into SRT business DCRSRT, but...

I'm sure you know that it is very hard to get a group together on a forum like this, but absolutely worth the effort if you can swing it. I think I have said before that I've been involved in car clubs for many years so maybe some advice if it is not too forward on my part. I did get a Jeep group up to Stockton after all...

What I suggest is that just going for a drive is going to be tough - you need to give a reason for a drive, preferably with a one-off date - maybe a car show (Gnoo Blas is coming up), a mechanics that is willing to open his workshop and put on a BBQ, the 12 hour in Bathurst...you get the idea. Something that is exclusive works too - can you swing a visit to the SRT dealer in the 'gong and everyone gets a free something or other.

Good luck to you and all you other SRT owners - get behind people like DCR if you can!

Anyway, just thinking out loud.

(19 min to go in the 12 hr - goooo Lowndes!!!! No not a safety car NOOOOOO!) ( Oh Clyde Campbell is driving one of the Fiats - a name from the past)

Re: Sydney SRT Club

Thanks for your input. Yes I have seen your trip to Stockton, I have also organised such a trip to Stockton and I have organised/plotted drives for the last 5yrs with a group of Ford Territory owners during our Xmas in July weekend getaways, so not just a single day trip/drive. I didn't think the rest of the SRT crowd were ready for a weekend away just yet lol.

Unfortunately we live busy lives these days. And by opting only for SRT's on this trip (hence the Sydney SRT thing) that gets compounded by far less owners than the regular Jeep brigade.

Maybe one day it will come together.

Re: Sydney SRT Club

Sounds like you have plenty of experience to get something up and running in the future. I agree that limiting your group to SRT owners adds to the problem.

You might be interested that when I ran the Stockton day I did approach two dealers and JA about providing some support - at the big end maybe they would want to attend with (at the time) the new MY14 and a mechanic, or at the little end maybe just some merch to give out, but unfortunately nothing was forthcoming. Pretty typical of JA really. Maybe I should of approached the Newcastle dealer instead of Sydney ones....

Re: Sydney SRT Club

Well I am trying to sell my Jeep privately to get closer to my payout.
I just need someone who wants my car to pay $55k for it, so I can get my SRT

Re: Sydney SRT Club

Good luck Enforcer. Was just reading another thread and I take it you are not a fan of Suttons. Is that fair to say?

I pick my car up tomorrow and they are trying to get me to buy prepaid servicing option which will apparently save me thousands. I said that I would probably get it serviced by other mechanics and I was told that this would void my warranty and that I would have to service it every 6 months even if I do low km's.

Why does it cost $500 to change an oil filter and oil?
