Re: Sydney SRT Club

Suttons in Roseberry tried hard for me and I am very thankful of Kris there. SVM Brookvale are just, well....I cannot say anything nice about their sales department. It is like they are not there to sell a car.

As for Prepaid service, what a crock of shit. I agree about the costs, it is bullshit what they charge for under 1 hr work. I will be doing my oil change this weekend for the impending 50k km service (only 32k km on the clock).

They will do the service for $285 including the loaner, but I will have done oil and filter.
Still a ripoff, but I do not feel so violated.

I will be getting the SatNav fix (yeah right), so it should be interesting if it makes any difference.

As for their claim about voiding warranty, I would tell them that the ACCC sees things very differently and that Harvey Norman was just fined $172,000 for saying the same thing regarding misleading warranty statements verbally made by HN staff and would they care to put it in writing.

I did choose to take this. Their standard service costs are in the high field, not the highest, but up there. Narellan is the cheapest and by all reports excellent.
I added up all of the costs from Narellan, and got the pre pay below that (CRD not SRT) at $2,500 for 3 years.
I was actually still not interested as they are not convenient for me to travel to. So they included a valet service where they will pick it up, service it and return it to me from wherever I am/live. That saves me a huge amount of time no matter where I would choose to get it serviced.
I am not interested in self servicing, don't trust the likes of many chain or smaller mechanics. As such a good deal for me.

As for must get it serviced by them, the only part of this that is true is to be covered by their extended warranty. For whatever that's worth.

Guys I need you help..

My 2014 SRT is driving me nuts, when driving I'm getting 2 quick beeps sometimes as offten as every 10 secs. I'm assuming its something to do with the Satnav, when I turn down the volume of the Satnav and this changes. What do I need to do to shut this up and what is it?

Cheers

Thanks guys, its not the blind spot alerts I've turned the sound off but left the lights on the mirrors on. I'll try the school zones.
