Re: Sydney SRT Club

Hello,

Yes its in mild, because thats what the customer wanted, as it is cheaper.

Nothing wrong with welds, and half the other pre made systems out there are welded, just ground down before they get coated.

As for why CHE don't. To have a madrel bender big enough to make a full exhaust this size would take an extreme amount of room.

Also this exhaust is full mandrel bends, so no press bends or anything, just mandrel bends cut and welded together.

Had many exhausts like this, and to be honest, my opinion, i prefer it to be custom like this.
Off the shelf systems never really fit properly, and if you had seen half the off the shelf systems that i have seen, and the amount of modifying to make them fit what they are built for, you would prefer the custom system too.

Just my 2 cents!

Marc

Re: Sydney SRT Club

I personally would not rip off the OEM SS system to put on some cheap mild steel system, but each to their own I guess.
Did they do headders ad CATs as well ?

Re: Sydney SRT Club

Are any of you using a cargo bay cover/mat? If so, which one and where to buy? Any other must have accessories for the SRT? I still have a few months to go, but thought I should get some of this sorted.

The other thing I'm thinking about is a tow bar, should I get this dealer organised or aftermarket?

I just bought one of these (as well as a set of floor mats in the same rubber)....

Jeep WK Grand Cherokee Rear Cargo Tray Genuine Mopar | eBay

I've bought a bunch of SRT stuff, but it's all from the states.

That is my MY14 you are seeing with it sitting in. There was no change to this part of the car from MY13 to MY14.

It was that pic of it in Snuke's vehicle that had me calling the dealership the other day to order one as well. Just what we need.

Macarthur Jeep said that they keep them in stock so have lined up collection of one when it goes in for its 20,000km service in a few weeks (saves doing two trips to the dealership).

Re: Sydney SRT Club

Ours is no so clean now. With horse feed, wet dog and other fun things it is pretty dirty, but that is the point, the mat gets dirty, not the carpet.
