Re: Sydney SRT Club

I'm over at Bangor. I passed a white one on Princes Hwy near Engadine a month or two ago but that is the only one I have seen around here, may have been you?

Re: Sydney SRT Club

Awesome..... someone not in the Hills district !!!

I've only been as far as Bundeena turnoff out that way so far so it could have been me. I've almost had it two months now.

What colour is yours ?

Hopefully I'll see you around soon.

Re: Sydney SRT Club

I've been stuck behind the same red SRT two days in a row. Yesterday at the fish markets and today after the airport heading south. We came through the tunnel together but I couldn't hear the SRT as I had a green HSV behind me....

Are you on here??? CQT-6??

A future Sydney SRT cruise is looking good with so many on the road.

Got a call today saying they expect to have my car ready for pickup on the 23rd/24th. Not so sure that correct based on the fact that would be 4 weeks door to door but fingers crossed.

I hope their right, but to date, I know more about where my car is then the dealer! Tracking shows the ship does not arrive at Port Kembla until 22ndish! I would have thought a couple of days to get through customs and then delivered to the dealership and then a few more for them to prepare it for delivery! My prediction for both our cars is early May! But I hope I'm wrong for both our sakes!

Dont expect to see your car for at least 2 weeks after it lands in port

Yep that's what I'm working off to avoid disappointment but for what it's worth my dealer told me they changed the system and they are getting cars within 2-3 days of the ship arriving.

Last April? What's the story behind that? I ordered in first week of Jan this year.

Re: Sydney SRT Club

2-3 days? That would be impressive. When you consider the ship berth's at port Kembla, and the car moves off the wharf within a day. Remember there is usually dozens of cars in the shipment. It then goes to Prixcars, who now have a depot at Unanderra, or is freighted to near Campbelltown, where it undergoes Customs, Quarantine inspection, gets inspected for damage, has computer updates done, before being shipped to either a storage yard at Western Sydney, or direct to the dealer. Once at the dealer, the plastic wraps are removed, wax removed, loose fittings installed, before being inspected. Providing no issues with any of the above, you get your car. 12 mths ago that was taking on average 2 weeks.

Re: Sydney SRT Club

Hey guys.... would it be OK to ask for some advice on Dyno Tuning in Sydney ? If it's an inappropriate topic for this thread, please let me know and I'll delete the post straight away.

Car: 2014 SRT8 GC 2000km old
Mods: XForce full system including headers
Engen CAI
BT Catch can.

Once the full exhaust system goes on, I will need a dyno.

I came across CRD Croydon Racing Developments (https://www.facebook.com/croydon.developments?fref=ts ) who have done quite a few cars like ours and seem to know their stuff. They do not use a piggy back system such as the DiabloSport Trinity but rather re-flash the existing ECU. This sounds fine but.....

From all my other research both here and abroad, everyone seems to use the Trinity for our cars as a piggy back system when Dyno Tuning.

If I can ask, who is your preferred Dyno shop in Sydney for our cars and are people using the Trinity's or just reflashing their existing ECU's ?

I'd be really grateful for any advice on this.

Cheers,

IAN
