Hey Tony,

So sorry.... I missed your question until now.

I'm not sure of the retail price but will let you know as soon as the production model arrives.

I was lucky enough to score a special deal for the exhaust in exchange for the use of my car for templating/design and photos/recordings etc. This occurred 5 weeks ago so hopefully not too much longer to go until the production models are complete.

You are more than welcome to check mine out once it's on.

Cheers,

IAN

Re: Sydney SRT Club

AutoTech have a low reading dyno but 221.8 seems very low for a car that's claimed to have 344kW.... On my WRX the drivetrain loss is about 50kW ATW

It's generally 25-30% loss on AWD

Given that our SRT's are different in electronics to the '11/'12 models I doubt anyone has done anything useful as yet. Even in the US they are still struggling to get anymore power of them using the Trinity.

In terms of what system to use I personally would not want to reflash the ECU as you say CRD do. The "customisable" tunes are better in that you can very easily revert to stock tune if/when you have to visit a dealer. Reflashing the ECU can only be done by the tuning shop, not the end user (you & me). Trinity has been in use in the States for ages but mostly on the older models. I have been told, and read somewhere, that "Xcal4" will be available very soon (if not already) and that this unit MAY be the key to unlocking the power gains we all want. I recently did a dyno run at Autotech (221.8awkw) and Spiro the owner advised that he would soon have the option to tune our cars. I haven't followed him up with this as yet but I will say he is a master in the Ford Turbo & WRX worlds (hence his AWD Dyno).

As for your mods, the exhaust may help a little as may the intake, maybe 10kw? but the catch can does nothing lol.

Re: Sydney SRT Club

Are they doing a Varex option? That's the one with the remote volume control.

I like XForce as a brand but I'm on the fence after hearing the GTHAUS

Car: 2014 SRT8 GC 2000km old
Mods: XForce full system including headers
Engen CAI
BT Catch can.

Once the full exhaust system goes on, I will need a dyno.

I came across CRD Croydon Racing Developments (https://www.facebook.com/croydon.developments?fref=ts ) who have done quite a few cars like ours and seem to know their stuff. They do not use a piggy back system such as the DiabloSport Trinity but rather re-flash the existing ECU. This sounds fine but.....

From all my other research both here and abroad, everyone seems to use the Trinity for our cars as a piggy back system when Dyno Tuning.

If I can ask, who is your preferred Dyno shop in Sydney for our cars and are people using the Trinity's or just reflashing their existing ECU's ?

I'd be really grateful for any advice on this.

Cheers,

IAN

Yes I thought it was low too. It was done at a Ford dyno day, all cars tyres pumped up to 50psi and my car was 5th or 6th in line at the start of the day. Another member got 245 or so at Castle Hill which is consistant with 25-30% loss in an AWD car (my previous F6X got 205awkw from a 270kw motor - 24% loss).

Hi All, just a quick question. Have any of you had any issue with your SRT. I have had a few minor problems and one that's driving me crazy. Have a clicking noise which happens most mornings when I first brake. ( Comes from passenger side front area) Only doing about 30km hr when it happens. I have posted the video in a thread I started. The noise is not always there but generally happens first thing in the morning. Been back to dealer several times even with recording and they claim they can't find anything. Any help appreciated.
Had a great drive Melbourne to Sydney and was very impressed with everything about the car on the drive.

Re: Sydney SRT Club

I get the same noise. I'm confident its just the ABS doing its checks. My previous F6X did it but it happened almost right away after driving forward. The SRT seems to wait for a few brake applications before doing it.

Re: Sydney SRT Club

I think DCR is correct, it is the ABS pumping up for the stability control.
It was very noticeable with my Territory Turbo, so much so my wife even noticed it and she has driven for 10km with a flat tyre

Place up in Qld.
Had it in stock for 3 days, did it all over the phone.
Will be doing the trek up on Easter Monday and collect it on the tuesday and then a nice cruise home to break in the beast.
