Re: Sydney SRT Club

Ohhh Enforcer. You used to be so meek and quiet when you had a "normal" GC Jeep. Now, you are getting as bad as DCRSRT.

Re: Sydney SRT Club

The CRD was never my car, it was my wifes. I just ended up stuck with it.
The SRT is my car and I love it.
Oh and with a name like ENFORCER, I would not be considered Meek by any stretch

Re: Sydney SRT Club

To be clear your saying you want to get a autolec to make up the harness for us in Sydney? I'm happy to buy CLStechs' version and ship it out but if you know someone local who can make it, and make it work correctly then that's cool too. I would suggest one person gets it done first to make sure its all good before we bulk buy. I cant do anything till late June anyway so plenty of time for me.

Re: Sydney SRT Club

The way I can see this working, is that we engage an AE or Audio company that can make up a kit for either installation by them or self install.
I would expect that whoever was responsible, would use a SRT to develop the product, so that it looked professional and functioned correctly.

I have contact CLS about this and he supports our approach. This is by no means a money making scheme for me. I no longer have any contacts in the industry and while I am more than capable of doing this mod on my own car, I would not have time to do it for anyone else.

I figure that it is best to arrange it to be done by a professional.

Re: Sydney SRT Club

I'm in. I saw my car in a window reflection the other day and it is just not good enough for the SRT. Need this.

Re: Sydney SRT Club

For any of the guys with Towbars on the SRT, how was the lower panel cut or finished off ?
I am looking to get the Mopar bar fitted, but I am not sure how it will look with the bar on.

You don't see any cutouts. When you remove the middle trim piece there is plenty of room for the tow bar. Once installed you refit the trim piece and you would never know there is a tow bar fitted (unless you remove the trim to actually tow something lol).

Re: Sydney SRT Club

If any one knows an autoleccy that can make up the harness (like CLS's version) i'm happy to help fit them to peoples cars. I wonder whether an Aus leccy can/will do it for $45 or less though?

Re: Sydney SRT Club

I put the Mopar Towbar on myself, electricals and all. It's true... the centre removable panel fits straight back over again once installed like nothing ever happened. There is no need for cutting at all.

There are some pictures in one of these damn threads with a picture of it, maybe even this one. As the others have said, very clean.

Re: Sydney SRT Club

I want to drive around with the tongue in all the time as it deters people touch parking.
I cannot see how you could refit the valance without cutting a hole or getting a new cover.

Re: Sydney SRT Club

Correct, if you want to leave the tongue in place you will have to go without the trim..... or cut a hole in it yourself.
