Re: Sydney SRT Club

These?

It is the only result I got.

If so, they won’t fit, they are for 2007-2010. The sill changed for MY11 and older ones won’t fit.
There was some talk that MY13 ones won’t fit properly either due to a slight change.

Great idea. It think it might be better to just buy some generic ones and have them laser etched. I'll look into it and possibly a group buy.

KV is too busy. Try Macquarie Pass and lunch at Robertson.

Re: Sydney SRT Club

Hi - from memory I got the fronts tinted 25% - not legal but impossible to pick and a better match for rear privacy glass. I asked my film guy about some clear UV film for the rears - he said he wouldn't bother so I didn't. I know that privacy glass doesn't offer any UV rating but it does a good job of reflecting heat. I have been pulled over 4 times including having a cop "go over" the car and haven't been queried on the tint yet.

The photo below is similar to the sills I got. "Someone" dropped or jammed something in my driver side door sill - and it wasn't me - resulting in reasonable dent - I only noticed it when cleaning the weekend after a service.......so couldn't definitely say it was the dealer but dealer offered to dent pull it out but the sill is dual skin - so cover was my only option - so far they are standing up okay - few scuffs - they are pretty thin - probably 0.6mm but this is handy as you have to bend a bit to match the curve in the sill.

Anyway - still available on eBay - from UK - which is where mine came from.

I look forward to a Kangaroo Valley trip next year - we should throw around some dates and see how many takers we get.

I am good for the 9/2 and 23/2......

Cheers

Conrad

Did a Google Image search and Macquarie Pass looks pretty good. Let's hope those pushbikers pick a different day to go out.

Hi Peter,

it's Jason up the road with the Alpine, sorry mate haven't been on the forum for a while but yes I got a 3 inch cat back system custom made at CHE all done in 1 day and only cost me $1k. Very very happy with the sound of it now, if you want to come around one day and I'll take you for a spin so you can see how it sounds from inside.

Cheers
Jason

When I took mine in to be tinted the shop said it is not recommended to do the sunroof as when the tint goes on the flat surface the heat is trapped and the glass becomes very hot and if water goes on it or a blast of cool air there is a chance it will shatter. I have seen a windscreen on an old VW shatter when the person went to wash it at a service station in Port Hedland during summer. so it can happen.
