Just discussing a possible date for a drag meet with S513bt, hows the 23rd Sept or 1st Oct suit those interested?

Yep, very tempted. Let me check my calendar. things are a bit nuts right now and hopefully they ease up a bit by then.

It is a friend of mines jeep, S/Charger is from Arrington Performance in USA , install done by the owner . The only trouble is that the instructions that came with the unit were for a challenger. Nevertheless install looks impeccable. I was looking at this unit or the RIPP centrifugal kit. Still up in the air now which way to go, will wait for Jmone on the forums kit to be installed and see how the Arrington turns out ( There were a few issues with tuning i believe with the Arrington kit)

I had never seen one in Billet until I went to check out a a Redline in the flesh at a dealer one day. The Redline wasn't my bag, but they happened to have a silver one there on the day and I LOVED it. I'm quite happy it's not common. For the record, I've never been remotely tempted to buy a white car, until the 2014 Jeep SRT. It really looks the goods and I appreciate why they are so popular.
Same here. Most my cars that I've owned as daily drivers have all been silver, can't beat it. But I had to get this beast in white. Soon as I saw one in white I had to change my mind and grab it.

Very tempting Rob but can't make either of those dates. Take some photos though and post them up. I will have to catch it the next time around.

Re: Sydney SRT Club

Quick report after a week on the road...

Engine is sweet, can't wait to get into it after getting 500 miles on the clock.

8 speed great. Tends to labour a bit in full auto but in S mode is better, if anything tends to hold on a little too much around town.
Manual shift superb, up shift like a sequential full manual with a beautiful little throttle blip on the down shift. Not real practical in manual around town with the paddles though.

Engine strong and smooth.

Pulls up hard and straight. And the brake dust on the Spider Monkeys show it.

Engine sounds great for a stocker.

Love the firm ride. Those critics who complain about it should stick to borrowing their Granma's Camry.

Engine invokes instant wood on start up.

Vented seats awesome when you need it.

Engine power is awesome when you need it.

Vision is crap. No surprise here with the body shell design. But man do they look tough.

The power means you can eliminate blind spots easily with your right foot.

External rear view mirrors really suck. Give me a fixed plane job any day. The position and dimensions of the mirror housing for my driving position perfectly obstructs the apex of most median strips and roundabouts on right hand turns.

Engine kicks arse out of corners.

Lack of decent storage compartments sucks. Bad. No comparison to the Territory in that regard.

Much more power than the Turbo six Territory.

White stitching on the dash rediculous. Very annoying on a sunny day. Almost as annoying as the random Road Runner beep-beep for no apparent reason. I am hopeful a software update will fix this.

Did I mention the engine was good?

You mean buy a SRT to pass the time while your classic mustang is in pieces!

Great way of putting it.

Nice write up. You're really gonna love it in a month or two when it loosens up a bit.

Re: Sydney SRT Club

I'd like to join as my 2014 GC should have it SC installed next week but as I normally travel for work, I'll have to confirm closer to the date. What do you need at the speedway (I have an open faced helmet)?
Thanks
Nathan
