Re: Sydney SRT Club

While we are talking about towing, took this to Cootamundra and back over the weekend! Still performs well even with 1500+kg behind and a full load of people and luggage in the car!

I grabbed the tray, removed a section at the rear to clear the hitch with a jigsaw and snapped it back on. Took me 10 minutes.

Towing capacity for the bar rated at 2268 for Pentastar V6 or 3500 for 3Ld or 5.7 HEMI. So I guess the for the SRT its what the factory quotes.

I can PM you the rep's number if you like.

Beats me why a vehicle like this still needs holes drilling in the chassis and wiring spliced into the tail lights for towbar installation. Does anyone have any experience with the Mopar unit, prices, and installation method?
Can you please pm me the details, pricing too if you don't mind sharing.

Re: Sydney SRT Club

I paid $1200 for the dealer to fit my towbar with the OEM Mopar one. It is a complete bitch of a job that takes an experienced installer over 4 hours to install.

The one thing you need to know is the towbar tongue will need to be inserted when you want to use it, as the rear panel needs to be removed. I used to like having mine fitted all the time to prevent parking damage on my Overland, so I was disappointed to find that it either looks ugly with a gaping hole in the rear with it fitted or having to insert the tongue each time I want to use it.

Not a huge problem as I rarely need to tow and prefer it to look nice from the rear, which is what most people see of my SRT

Re: Sydney SRT Club

Hey boys, been a while.

Got my Black Ops delivery last week and installed the FR22's in gloss black. Love them.

I installed the DRL wiring loom as well, love this mod and a piece of piss to install.

Need to do the brakes now. Sick to death of the brake dust.

Rob, did you swap yours over yourself?

Re: Sydney SRT Club

Yes, stock ride height. Leaving it that way as well

Tyres are Vreds 305/35/22 all round. Black lugs are on there way and I will probably get the SRT centre caps as well.

Re: Sydney SRT Club

Also I got the Borla S type installed a few weeks ago. Love the deep sound but not in you face. Perfect for what I was after.

Pimpin' Cage!
Did you remove the GC badges or deleted on order? I'm gonna get rid of mine as I'm over cleaning around them already, plus I prefer the look without them. I will probably lose the hood badge as well.
BTW, your shed seems to have grown a little
