The one thing you need to know is the towbar tongue will need to be inserted when you want to use it, as the rear panel needs to be removed. I used to like having mine fitted all the time to prevent parking damage on my Overland, so I was disappointed to find that it either looks ugly with a gaping hole in the rear with it fitted or having to insert the tongue each time I want to use it.

Not a huge problem as I rarely need to tow and prefer it to look nice from the rear, which is what most people see of my SRT
Good info Enforcer. I heard the Mopar bar was something like $1,900, but like most things with Jeep, getting straight and consistent info and pricing seems unlikely.

For reference, current price for the Tag from Aranda is just over $700 fitted. They did mine at our office in about 3 hours. The tailpipes need to be dropped to fit it then it's out with the drill and into it. The Tag sits under the removable rear bar cover. I was not so much concerned about removing the cover etc initially, though I think it's worked out better for my application anyhow. I am towing something once or twice a week so removing the tongue and cover so often would be annoying. Personally if I had the Mopar bar I would probably look at cutting a neat hole in the cover and fit it around the tongue. While it's not pretty I prefer running around with the tongue and ball on for extra protection from stupidity in car parks and on the road.
If someone hits me softly there's a good chance they are not gonna mark my bumper.
If someone hits me hard there's a good chance they are not driving their thing away.

Re: Sydney SRT Club

Went for a drive yesterday arvo with my other buddy (VF GTS) I thought i'd give the 0-100 a crack since i had not done it since the creek meeting. @6pm outside temp was 28 C using launch control got it 5.0 flat. not bad i think just hit 1150kms. Wanted to try it later on in the night but as we came home @11pm temp was like 18 C but there where a lot on cops around... car sits on 1300kms.

Yeah, the hard part is the "too many cops around" bit. I used to call people paranoid when they said 'police' or 'nanny' state. Now that I got the SRT I'm starting to believe them. I'm more careful than I've ever been.

Wait til you get a few more k's on it and it loosens up a bit, that 5.0 will drop. Plus, I get the feeling you'll be doing a few nice performance mods.

Did you remove the GC badges or deleted on order? I'm gonna get rid of mine as I'm over cleaning around them already, plus I prefer the look without them. I will probably lose the hood badge as well.
BTW, your shed seems to have grown a little
Removed the side and front badges in the first week I had it. Easy to do and makes a big difference in my opinion.

You know who's shed that is mate. I was just introducing the Jeep to the other beast.

Re: Sydney SRT Club

SRT in a Renegade? Goodness...

Jeep SRT range may grow to include smaller vehicles | CarAdvice

Although, just adding I wouldn't have minded having an SRT Cherokee rather than the CRD if I had had the option.

Re: Sydney SRT Club

What????????
This is the complete opposite of the entire Chrysler Fiat plan of having SRT as Dodge only, and the recent noting of TrackHawk trademark being registered by Chrysler in what is thought to be the new name for the GC SRT (if not Hellcat version).
Do these people talk to each other and understand what is supposed to be happening with the brands names?

Yes replacement Springs. Handles nice a little bit firmer. Takes the body roll out. I was concerned about how hard it will be on the road but im happy with it.
