Re: Sydney SRT Club

I'm in the same boat, heading to USA but will be back on the 16th. I think I'll be too tired to drive anywhere though.

Hey Mate,

Mine will be done soon, meant to have been done ages ago, but i have been to busy to let them play with my car.
Mine will be done in the next week or 2 with an intake as well.

Thanks

Re: Sydney SRT Club

Hi guys, took the SRT up to Bathurst yesterday. Super impressed with the way it drove on Bells Line of Road. For a factory SUV at less than 90k makes it even more impressive.
Unfortunately still hating the wing mirrors. And hate is a word I don't use much. Has anyone got the same feeling and perhaps looked into replacing them?

For me, any convex mirror that is designed to give a wide field of view, makes it difficult to judge distances accurately. But these things are so progressive that all I get is a heap of distortion which exaggerates the problem. I simply cannot judge where the objects are in relation to my car. Trying to reverse a trailer using these mirrors is embarrassing. But I've always had trouble with anything but a conventional flat mirror on the driver's side.
Call me old fashioned, but I like to keep it real. I'd much rather be able to judge my clearances with confidence and take a look over the shoulder if need be.
Though I have been accused if being a pedantic prick once or twice.

One thing's for sure, I couldn't see myself in an Overland.
Sorry, couldn't resist.
