Picked her up this afternoon ... Within 2 miles I could feel the difference with the continental UHP S .. So much better ride it's ridiculous!

Re: The dreaded new tire thread

I run Pirelli Scorpions on two Jeeps, but on recommendation from Merchant Tires I run a set of Generals that seem to be doing just fine, early days yet where miles are concerned, but first impressions are they are very quiet, good traction and provide a smooth ride at highway speeds.Ofcourse everyone has their own opinions and I did see your Pirellis were done at 17k(that's some low low miles for tires to be done, but know it happens, plenty of threads show various name brands die early,Michelin Latitudes seem to be high on the list),so figured I would suggest General Grabbers, although some do speak very highly of Toyo's. But at the end of the day,I disregard price as I want SAFE,not saying less expensive tires can't deliver, just feel more comfortable running something I recognize, but again, that is my own opinion.

Re: The dreaded new tire thread

Michelins are nearly always the top of the tree but in Australia we can't get them in the size . The continentals however are super quiet and handlie as good as the pirellis without the terrible harsh ride ... I'm running 38 psi but just noticed the tyre placard says 33 ? What does everyone else run or suggest ?
