thinking 22" but offset trouble

I recently ordered a set of wheels from a shop but once recieved the wheels didn't fit. The stuck outside the wheel guard about 10mm. Now the want to sell me 24". What's the ride like in them. This is what they look like. Any thoughts. And some pics of the problem wheels hanging out of my guard

Re: thinking 22" but offset trouble

I would get a refund and go shop at a rim shop that actually knows what they are selling. Any reputable shop should have known the proper offset, if not they could have just did a Google search. Seems like they are more interested in making a dollar than making customer happy. With that said, I love the look of the 4's because they fill in the wheel well very nicely, but you can achieve the same look with 2's and lowering springs. Now I know its a totally different platform, but I had went from 2's to 4's on my Charger and that lasted about a week before I went back down to 2's. The ride quality took a shit with the 4's. I have been in other suv's with 4's and the ride quality sucked on those as well.

I wouldn't put 24's on a performance SUV...IMHO. They look just a tad too large IMO. 22's are perfect

Re: thinking 22" but offset trouble

I'd get a refund and go to a wheel shop who isn't just trying to sell you what they have sitting on the shelf. On second thought, don't even deal with wheel shops...there are plenty of reputable online retailers who will sell you a wheel/tire package that fits and is ready to be mounted.

Re: thinking 22" but offset trouble

Offsets are tricky on these. You need a true +45 to not poke out. The problem is when people want a concave wheel. You can't have much concave in the front with a +45 offset. So some of the concave wheels out there are running a +35 which will stick out some.

Either go the custom route and get semi concave front, deep concave rear, or abandon the concave idea and go with a more flat faced wheel and then there shouldn't be any problem.

Good luck!

Take a look here: 22 X 11 w/ 305/35 Monoblock - Will it Fit?

Those were iforged +38 in the rear and +45 in the front. If you look on the last picture you can see that the fronts are nowhere near poking out. With OEM camber they're well within the wheel wells.
