it's like I said, just a deterrent. if they are determined enough locks wont save your wheels. you've just been fortunate to not have it happen. And I hope I never does.

its a lot easier then one would think to get past locks

oh absolutely , 100 % agree ... its like any type of security measure , whether its with the car or home , or work , if someone is desperate enough they will do anything to get what they want.

Also agree with getting past them , I have on more than one occasion lost my lock nut key / socket , and have had to get passed them. Pain in the ass ...

when I was working as a civilian mechanic, I have on occasion had to..."bypass" the wheel locks. basically the remmah & tekcos method. we replaced the locks and keys tho

Re: this is what i woke up to.

Thanks for all the empathy, having people around who understand your pain makes it feel a whole lot better. $2,600 later, the equivalent of 1.5 days of work lost, and the heartache of dealing the consequences of someone else's greed, I'm heading to the dealer to pick up my SRT with its new wheel (with locking lugs). Tomorrow I'll be heading to an insurance inspection agent to determine how much I get back.
