Don't recommend drilled because over time you will at the very least get micro-cracks around the drilled holes. There is no performance advantage either. Dimpled rotors would be better if the look is what you're after.
I would guess that is because they are name brand. Plenty of pictures of aftermarkets doing this. R1 even recommends dimpled over slotted if this is a concern for you. The micro-cracks aren't dangerous or anything, they just look bad IMO.
iirc the Brembo guys don't even warranty their drilled rotors, only their slotted ones. Waiting to see if the new SRT 2017 optional performance brake rotors will fit with the older ones.
I have the StopTechs slotted on mine and they were perfect out of the box and almost a year later they are still great. 2 sets of Powerstops had shimmy and were right at the limit of run out. Clean hubs and even tried to index them. The Stoptech hats are black coated and even after a New England winter towing the sleds almost 6K they still look brand new Flawless.
