Damn, My SRT fits this description, sort of. The only exception is I'm 46 and my Mom doesn't need to worry about this Marine anymore.

The great thing about badging is it's so easy to re-do if you're not satisfied with a certain look.
Very cool!

Thanks guys!

I just hate cleaning all the nooks and crannies with the badges...

Yes it is all blacked out... If is was red I would not red it out... But I like consistency

Re: To de-bagde or not to de-bagde

Took the Jeep badge off the front and don't miss it for a second. Throw a SRT badge on the bottom grille, and it'll look perfect. Also removed the Grand Cherokee badges and put the 392 HEMI badges on the side.

It was less of a debadge and more of a rebadge with different badges for me.

I disagree. Debadging a vehicle that is worth a damn is totally different than debadging a Honda with a fartcan attached, aka, not worth a damn.

Back in '78 I also owned a 1978 black on black birdless WS6 Trans Am and took off all the decals / emblems on that too except for the center grill red Pontiac emblem, so this isn't a fad for me.

Anyway, no, I never debadged any of my vehicles and agree with others that it looks silly (not ghetto necessarily). It looks silly and childish, but that is JMO. As others have said, it is your vehicle, do what you want with it.

As far as others saying the badges make it look like "every other soccer mom SUV", well, to me, that was always part of the appeal. Having a "soccer mom SUV' that can kick the crap out of many sport cars. Maybe that isn't the same as it was back in 06 when I purchased one of the first 3,000 ever built, but back then it sure surprised many people

What do badges do anyways? Yes we know it's a jeep, that's how we figured out how to buy it. Do letters on a car make a functional difference...Maybe more weight/drag so less mpg. Just branding/advertising for free for jeep, they are as bad as dealers putting their names on it. Might as well leave your window sticker on there while you are at it.

Now if you take the VIN off that's true ghetto....

Leadfoot, Would you sell me your rear hatch Jeep logo badge? Mine was damaged.

Anyone that decides to de-badge your whole Jeep or Grand Cherokee letters on the doors, do yourself a favor and get a 3M eraser wheel. Save yourself some time......
