To de-badge or not to de-badge

Curious how many of you took the JEEP badge off of the hood? I have a black night edition and I like the statin black logos but I love the look of the clean hoods on every other color (especially white). Just makes the care look more clean.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Also removed all(almost) badges. Replaced the rear chrome with a satin grey, kept the EcoDiesel badge.

Re: To de-badge or not to de-badge

So I removed all of mine and then added a 392 HEMI badge to cover a scratch on rear hatch. I also added black SRT badges on lower section of front doors. Had I not just spent $ on them, I'd actually probably go for the clean look.

Re: To de-bagde or not to de-bagde

I've been a "de-badger" since the 1970s. I completely "de-badged" my '15 GC, 2-3 days after I took delivery of it. I couldn't however, take the Jeep logo off the liftgate, because the logo is indented into the surface. So, since my GC is black, I removed the chrome logo, and replaced it with a black one.

Debadged vehicles look to me like you had it repainted and took the discount they gave you for not putting the badges back on. But then I've never understood the whole blacked-out thing anyway. Anybody remember Earl Scheib?

Yeah, I remember Earl Scheib............"any car, any color, for $39.95".

HOWEVER, you won't confuse an Earl Scheib paint job with a simple de-badge, because cars painted at Earl's had the windows painted over, too!!

I agree. I think debadging is ghetto. Its like this, Debadged, check. Painted wheels black, check. blacked out tail lights so nobody knows Im stopping, check. Ricey fart can muffler with burnt colorful tip so it sounds fast, check. Super dark tints so I cant even see out them at night, check. Remember to clean my room so mom doesnt yell at me, check. LOL. Yeah, but if I had a nickel........ Oh, and earl sheib, yeah hes been replaced by plasti dip. LOL.

Re: To de-bagde or not to de-bagde

I like the badges. If you have any color other than black, I, iIke the badges to be blacked out. If the Jeep is black I like the badges to be another color other than black. It's kind of pointless to have blacked out badges on a black jeep as thenew you can't see them anyway. I have a black jeep so I have left mine chrome, however I wish they were like a dark grey or something similar...
