Took delivery yesterday!

I've made the upgrade to the 2015 SRT.

I thought I knew my way around all the electronic functionality but as my dealer was going over it, I kept on being surprised by a new feature I wasn't aware of.
I have some questions.
#1 The pull over tarp for the rear trunk starts about 12" away from the back of the seats. Any one know why?
#2 Also, I loved my coin holder in the 2010. I don't see one now. What do you do with the meter food?
#3 Can you have the mirrors point down when you put it in reverse? Great feature to protect the rims while parking.
#4 Anyone selling black chrome center caps for the wheels? What a dumb oversight on Jeeps part.
Here's a quick cell phone photo. Parked next to the outgoing WKSRT.

Awesome quick one i have the exact color and model as you. Picked it up a few weeks ago new. Tracked it with milous. As far as these srt caps, we already have them. Your 2015 caps read srt (2014 jeep srt had read jeep caps). I looked into this and I believe this color srt caps we have currently on our 2015 srts are the only ones that are offered, no official black chrome.

Re: Took delivery yesterday!

Congrats on the new SRT…its so nice coming from a WK1 SRT8…..I too had a silver one..

-as for why the privacy cover starts so far away from rear seats, the only thing I can think of, is that the rear seats recline, so I'm guessing thats the distance required to prevent contact.
-no coin holder in the new ones…..
- tilt mirrors are a feature you can turn on and off I believe…..my 15 already had the feature on when I picked it up. I love it.

Cheers…enjoy it…I absolutely love mine.

I'm going to work on it. Is it an easy DIY or is professional help needed?

Are they black or black chrome and where do you get them?

See above. Looks like you can get them in black.

Any idea how to turn it on? I imagine it must be a starscan type function from the dealer. I have a predator left over from the WK1. Not sure if I should sell the Jeep with that or just not mention I had the tuner. But if I decide to keep it, can I access the programing to do that?

The tilt mirrors can be turned off or on in your uconnect screen under settings. Same with auto high beams and many other settings which is great to have all the options and in one place to do it.

Re: Took delivery yesterday!

QuickOne and I were racing on the MOTS. Our trains were neck and neck, but he ended up taking his home a few hours prior to mine. I feel like ours are practically siblings at this point.

Configuring both screens to my exact liking took me quite a while, but I think I'm there. The hardest part is following the break-in procedures. 500 miles won't come quick enough.

Here is a pic while out at lunch:

Silver is of course the faster color. Hence the reason I got mine first!
Much better photo in the daytime DMB.... I love the heated steering wheel. Makes me want to hold the wheel with 2 hands!
The WK2 is really light years ahead of the WK1. Its a totally different machine. I still like the wk1, but it's got more of a muscle car feel rather than a high end high performance luxury vehicle that it is now.
Looking forward to many miles in the beast.

Re: Took delivery yesterday!

You can replace all the badging yourself. Just buy a trim removal kit for $15/$20 at any auto parts store there plastic so they won't damage the paint. You will need a hair dryer to loosen the adhesive. Just take your time and you will be fine I just about got mine finished I love the look! I took the JEEP off the front and the badging on the doors. It's so hard to clean between the letters anyway so less is better always! Enjoy and good luck! Coming from a 2008 there is no comparison just a whole different level and animal! A lot more looks also!
