TPMS Self Learning?

I'm having a new set of tires and rims mounted today at the dealer. I'm going to keep them for a few more weeks until the weather gets nicer before i switch them onto my car. Question is, are the tire pressure sensors self learning? Or will I have to return to the dealer to have them programmed. I have a 2012 wk2 srt.

Best,

Dotcom
