I have the standard All-Season tires and SRT8 audio option.

So far the JEEP has performed very well in the rain. No loss of confidence on highway ramps, highway lane changes, or braking. I also posted on a different thread that the engine area was dry after sitting and driving through heavy rain. I had to use the rear wiper on intermittent to see out the back better. Front wipers do a decent job on the rain sensor setting which can be adjusted for sensitivity.
During heavy winds the JEEP seem to laugh it off a bit even at highway speeds. I guess the weight helps out sometimes!

None at all.
The EVIC between the tach and speedo tells you the mode you selected with a cartoon figure of a JEEP GC profile for a few seconds. I'm sure that would give an indication of it engaging.

Can I tell the difference?
I can feel the difference in ride harshness over bumps between auto and sport. Body lean is reduced during the turns I've tried on and off the highway. I'm still trying to figure out if the steering tightens up or not?

Not much time spent in Track mode. I need more seat time in Sport mode before I can try it and feel the difference. I also need a decent area to try this.

I hope to get more driving time this weekend. Stay tuned.....

The other persons EVIC is showing the selector change also, but the driving experience around corners and such just isn't feeling healthy.

Re: transam's Jeep GC SRT8 Initial Impressions...

Initial fuel consumption:
First fillup got 15mpg with extended idling and varied rpm driving.
Second fillup got 16mpg with multiple highway bursts from 3rd to 5th gears, heavy braking, and aggressive cornering. Highway avg at 75-85mph ( following other traffic ).

Took it out part of yesterday and today for some aggressive cornering. It took awhile to get the feel for the balance points, but once I did, this SUV flat out grips like a heavy sports car. It feels better being in Sport, not only for the reduced body lean and suspension feel, but the throttle feels more responsive and keeps the rpms up a bit if you are staying in D (it seems as if it holds on to a lower gear by itself). Otherwise the paddles will give you more control. I didn't bother with Track, since most of the roads were too bumpy. Speaking of bumpy, I noticed that it didn't bounce around as much (side stepping) as I expected around bumpy corners. It seemed to hold it's grip well.
I'm still looking forward to trying the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times. I haven't found a place to do it.

Braking is excellent as advertised. I got a 1.0G in braking

My G-Force indicator has recorded a 1.0G on the Right and about .85G on the Left. I can't remember where I pulled that 1.0G? LOL

Interesting observation as that is what I get with my 5.7 Hemi (MY11). Similar driving style except I am missing the "punch" for acceleration.
