Upgraded brake rotors on the 2017 SRT......

Worth the $1295?

If you upgrade the rotors, do they furnish you with better (racing) pads?

Track use is the only reason I can think of......

Any opinions?

Only thing I have is that I believe that is just for front 2 pc alum hat rotors and whatever they do with pads...fwiw, fer bout $2100 or so I believe you can get all 4 Racing Brake 2pc alum hat rotors w/pads from Black Ops Autoworks on here...

Re: Upgraded brake rotors on the 2017 SRT......

just as well since it's a bad $ deal for fronts only...that price is full, full list and no credit for the stock rotors/pads...oem brakes are awesome, just dusty

Re: Upgraded brake rotors on the 2017 SRT......

That price is about what you'd pay for an aftermarket setup for fronts... and the aftermarket is unfortunately probably better, so yes a bad deal.

That really blows my mind. Those are included in the base price of 392/HC Chargers & Chally's. SRT really wants to screw their top selling product buyers over for more cash?

Re: Upgraded brake rotors on the 2017 SRT......

Yes it just front rotors and the invoice price on the option is $1153 so right at what you'd pay for aftermarket 2pc fronts, and not sure the aftermarket is any better or worse the the brembo option, other than the fact I can warranty the rotors and get a fresh set at will.

Unfortunately manufacturers dont do that, when we optioned the $2000 Recaro seats in our camaro 1LE no credit from gm for the cost of the stock seats either, but I definitely do agree that the 2pc rotors should be standard since they are on any other normal SRT or Hellkitten, and if we are expecting a credit for the stock parts than we would need the 60k credit for the cost of the summit vs. the SRT and the cost of the new SRT would be 15k that would be a hell of a deal.
