Re: Used 12 Srt8 Jeeps already in the low 50's..

I actually went and looked at that specific car this weekend on Long Island. It was a stripped down version and basically looked like someone had driven the hell out of it. Very dirty - huge amounts of barke dust on the wheels; definitely not how I would take care of my vehicle. Ended up getting a brand new Mineral Gray SRT8 from there for around $59,000. Will post my first impressions in a minute.

Hmm, I question any dealership that don't clean up a used car before they place it for sale. I mean, its not like they are selling a little $2000 POS.....

Should I trade in my Overland to SRT8 now?
I'm not BS'ing you either... the link below is the SRT8 that is just up the street from me... like 3 miles from my house. You can get this one new and unabused for $55k easy.

http://www.courtesymotorswisconsin.c...f0d82c5ad7.htm

Here is the other dust bunny that is just a bit further down the road. Both are selling at invoice and you'll even get a portion of the kickback. Depends on how serious you are.

http://www.sheboyganchryslercenter.c...f71bb024fc.htm

Neither of these have the pano roof though. Though Courtesy is willing to work dealer trades and still sell whatever you want at invoice.

Dealers in my area are still marking them up to $81K http://alberta.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehi...AdIdZ396556950
Our economy is doing too good here because they are selling for that price also

Re: Used 12 Srt8 Jeeps already in the low 50's..

That's insanity. I know of two others selling at invoice but those dealers have yet to give in to kickback dollars as well. I'm still waiting for additional refresh info and pics.

Re: Used 12 Srt8 Jeeps already in the low 50's..

So the black one in the second link just sold to someone that saw it in this thread! Congrats on your new Jeep!

You're welcome... and thank you because the voices kept whispering to me telling me to stop waiting and go for it!

The one at Courtesy is still available... If you want someone on the inside to discuss price shoot me a PM. I know 3-4 people that work there very well.

what is the depreciation on the 2012 right now? Is the vehicle even worth $55K?

The top end of retail would be below invoice, I doubt dealers would go higher than $50k at auction. That puts the net for a loaded version, not one of the strippers that came off the line early, at around $54k used. If you can negotiate you can find a number of new, fully optioned SRT's for around $57k.

For reference, my '04 Cayenne TT went from $98k new to $67k used in 18 months. Luckily I was the one who paid $67k, not $98k

Re: Used 12 Srt8 Jeeps already in the low 50's..

You can get a new 2013 SRT8 for 57!!! I just saw it today on a local dealerships website. The horrendous fuel economy does not help the resale on those pigs, especially with fuel prices once again going up.

If this is a no BS price sounds pretty damn good. Has pano roof as well.
