All good boys, calm down. I was just pointing it out in case you didn't realize, as often happens with old posts. And the OP hasn't been online for over 2mths. I'll get back in my box now....

Pretty easy install, I have a Passport Redline so you need to buy the proper cord for your detector... $12.99 cord from amazon.com...I actually bought the belltronics cord since it was Prime haha so FYI that will work on the Passports as well! Very happy with the results for 30 minutes

I'm about to start the inviscord install. I wish we could see the photos of the mirror removal and reinstall. I'm not really following the instructions without seeing what the instructions are referring too. Anyone with photos would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Valentine One install with blendmount, inviscord on 2014 SRT

I was able to complete the Inviscord Install on my 2015 SRT. It was a lot easier than i expected. I didn't need to remove the mirror. Just needed to remove the two covers. The small one and the larger triangle shaped one. The cable then unpluged from the mirror. I was able to easily insert the inviscord into the connector.

Thanks for posting that...exactly what I did as well. Once the two covers are off you can see the wiring connection and insert the two prongs. SO much easier than removing the mirror!!!

Re: Valentine One install with blendmount, inviscord on 2014 SRT

I used this write up for my install, but the invisicord method of jamming the connection pins into an existing connector doesn't work for me. Eventually it vibrates loose and looses power intermittently. Very irritating. I vowed that I would look for a better method of connecting the power, but I haven't got around to it. Anybody else have the same issue?

Did not find a better way...but do not have any issues with the piggy back connection. Here is a pic of them in

And it hanging with the covers off...no need to remove the mirror

Then I zip tied the power cord to the existing wire loom/wrapping and heat shrinked as much of the exposed red/black wire as I could, while leaving minimal slack to ensure there is no pressure on the two metal pins that are pressed into the existing connector. Couple months, 3k miles and over 100 degree days with no change. Hope that helps

Fits perfectly there (Pasport Redline) wit great visibility yet difficult to see from outside the vehicle as it apears to be part of the mirror. Can even put my CoverCraft sun shade in without removing the radar...although if it is hot I do take it down; but perfect for the cool, sunny days when i jist want to protect the dash!

Not sure why everyone goes the rear view mirror mount route......seems to complicate things and the cord looks silly going to the right. Tuck it under the headliner and run it down to the fuse box....literally took me all of 10 minutes to do and didn't have to remove a single piece of the vehicle or mess with tapping wires.

I am a little confused about your statement...this install took all of 10 minutes as well and taping a couple wires together is, well, very easy (and not required, I just did it for a clean install since I am very particular on my mods/aesthetics). I did not have any connectivity issues so making things look OEM/proper is important to me. The two plastic panels/covers are there to be removed to access the mirror/wiring and pop right off with a simple trim stick (wk2jeeps.com has a great 200+ page manual on part removal). What do you mean with the cord "looking silly going to the right"? I can't see my cord when driving. The wire harness that is utilized for power/ground cord is on the left/drivers side of the mirror and the connection for my Passport Redline is on the right side (when mounted on the windshield)...so the cord placement, position and length (cord is less than 11", so there is no extra cable to hide/tie up) is perfect for my model...I cannot speak to the Valentine but for the Passport radars, having the cord exit behind the plastic covers towards the drivers side is a perfect setup for both functionality and aesthetics!

To each their own, your install looks clean just seems like the hard way to do it. Cheers.
