Always good to have options! I did my 08' the same way you have yours...piggy-backed a fuse (ACC on; not constant on) and ran a mute button extension behind the foot-well to the left of the nav unit. That was a great option on the WK IMO (old thread for the WK Hardwire that Radar Detector)...on the WK2, I was much more nervous to remove the a-pillar cover, run the wire down to the fuse box and tap into that. The short, $13 cord with a built-in fuse and ability to piggy-back into one of the mirror connectors seemed mush easier. It sounds like both methods are very simple, effective and yield the same result. Thanks for mentioning that...good to know if I want to mix it up later and put the radar in a different location and utilize a different power source I can do that easily .

I know it's an old thread, but I stole power from the sensor. It was much easier to insert the invisicord there and it's still ACC on. Wanted to see if anyone had any reason not to? I think it's just the light sensor. Picture:
