Nice videos! Is this with an external mic or built in mic on the camera?

Hi vvM1LESvv, so you could only ship the GTHaus system from the States; no one (Down Under) has them? Are you replacing the stock system yourself or are you going to an exhaust specialist? Is there a requirement to "tune" (change computer fuel settings) the engine because of the GTHaus setup?

Congrats on the purchase, I'm sure you'll love it. Cheers.

PS: Apologies for all the Qs. The only reason I mention an engine tune is because if you throw Screaming Eagles (exhaust) on a Harley Davidson, it's "recommended" that the engine gets a special tune also. Something to do with changing fuel settings.

Thanks again one and all. This is a very educational and informative site that you guys have here. Marty.

I used my Canon XA10 for this with built in mics.

I went looking to buy a decent external mic but nothing was in stock so I ended up just trying it with built in mics. A friend held the camera, stood about ten feet back.

Looking back I wish I'd tripoded it so it was perfectly still, and then also done some more accelerations, but in a different area with dry road for fly bys etc

Blackops has better pricing I believe. As for tune, I think the xcal 4 will be available soon and I've been told it will support tuning for our SRT's so I will tune it once it's available.

I'm going to get Profile Autosports in Brisbane to fit all my gear. And tune it. I used Clinton to tune and work on my F6 Typhoon. And his pricing and knowledge and service is second to none.

Re: VIDEOS: Borla Atak versus GT Haus

Great write up, thank you, I have the Atak, and in all honesty, after seeing this, I'm thinking of going the GT HAUS road, problem is, I can only get the axleback for warranty reasons, but I bet it would still be louder than the Atak I have on right now

The GTHaus can void the warranty ?

Technically anything aftermarket can void warranty. All depends on dealership.

Yeah that I understand. But how would the exhaust type (cat-back or axle-back) affect the warranty differently ?

Hahah that's the million dollar question.

How would an upgraded air Intake good a warranty?? Their responce would be somethingg along the lines of it wasn't intended to be on the vehicle. It's not an official mopar product

Same way a supercharger would void the warranty... Here ya go. Lowering springs. You get the eibach extremes and it blows our a strut. They could say it's because it isn't intended to have lowering springs on it blah blah blah.

Pretty much anything you do to the vehicle after you purchase from dealer could void warranty. So stupid but that's what I have always been told

Hmmm I see what you mean. Guess I have to carefully review any modification with the service center/warranty department to understand any important terms/risks of using them.

You just need to develop a good relationship with the service department that's all. Like my service department knows that I have a different exhaust, throttle body, lowering springs. They don't care. If something happens that one would say is because of my "upgrade" my service department would tell me to return it to stock and bring it back haha

Exactly what was said, my dealership told me a lower tstat, an upgraded tb, lowered springs, headers, a Cai, a full exhaust (not just an axleback) etc would all void my warranty, I ended up courteously negotiating with them, I was allowed lowered springs and a borla but only after a lot of nagging, the Cai and tb can be removed before a service, but that's about as far as I can go with engine mods, the open and close valve option in the gthaus freaked my dealership out, they've told me before I'm not allowed an exhaust system that messes with the catalytic converter or with the valves, hence the warranty void threat
