Re: Wait time for delivery - Australia

Great thanks for the info! 2nd half works well for me because my lease is up in July and I'll be selling the existing car privately. So a month here or there isn't much of big deal to me as I love the current car.

Re: Wait time for delivery - Australia

Rang my dealer today, I was chasing the E number for my order as I thought would be cool to track the order, through jeep garage. I made the order 4 march 2014 , dealer said July was earliest it was gonna get to Australia . I order granite ,spider monkeys, sun roof ,premium audio, that's fine I'm prepared to wait. Today, Dealer says " you want the good news, or the bad news first"oh.. Ok I'll take the bad news, " you won't be able to track your srt as its already sitting on the docks at Brisbane ". I was stoked! In 3-4 weeks am told they will have my srt at there dealership. Pretty lucky, that will be only a total of 2 mth wait. Ok i got real lucky, it's only been just over a month since I ordered. You would have to say what I ordered was coming as a " item" or someone who cancelled there's after it shipped, whatever ! Could speculate on this one til "the cows come home", any way I'm just stoke at the moment, you'll hear about it when it arrives!

Just to pissoff the people waiting....
I ordered my SRT today and will be picking it up on the 22/4, but could get it tomorrow if I was able to arrange the time to collect it.
It has everything I wanted (except it has the Pano roof) including the Spider Monkey wheels. 2/14 build, 4/14 compliance. Happy as I waited 5 months for the CRD.

Congrats Enforcer.

I was talking to a guy the other night who's company had just ordered 2 SRTs and a Summit. Didn't care about colour or other specifics. Dealership checked what was coming in but unallocated and there was two SRTs and a Summit just loaded and on there way here.

They take delivery in about 4-6 weeks when the boat arrives and clearance done. They're very happy with the short wait.

Awesome! Mate, it seems to be the case, if your not to fuss with colours an options it's possible to get them straight away. I had that option when I test drove srt a mth ago ,0 kms on the clock ,but wife was dead keen on having the pano roof so did the order, stoke that's it's only a mth to go instead of 3 more mths

Re: Wait time for delivery - Australia

I am happy with the deal, as I had to soak up some negative equity in the CRD, as I am getting out 2.5 years into a 5 year CHP. Looking at what was in the marketplace they either came with HK & Roof or nothing.
Dealers with cars in stock were also unreasonable in their pricing and not willing to do a deal.

My main wants were:
Instock: Check
Colour: Check
Wheels: Check
HK: Check
No Roof: FAIL

I would rather pay the extra to get it now. It is only $70 per month more than the CRD and on a year shorter (48 vs 60 month) finance period.

Re: Wait time for delivery - Australia

I was watching carsales the last couple of days and saw those two billet 2014 SRT'S pop up for sale. I rang my dealer to see if my one arriving in 4 weeks is 2013 or 2014 and turns out it is a 2014 as well but I don't think they realised this at the time of sale cause they sure didn't have the 89k price tag those ones in Queensland have. Don't know why they have hiked the price up as they are no different from the MY14's built in 2013.

Also any idea when the order books open for a MY15? I understand it will be soon.

G33k,

I got mine through Werribee Jeep.
I ordered mine in June and was told by every other dealer I would be lucky to get one before Christmas.
The guys at Werribee pushed CJA and I was able to pick up my DCR with roof and HK late August.
Had a couple of build quality issues with the car which Werribee were quick to deal with.
So far so good

I strongly recommend staying away from the Brighton jeep dealership. I went in their to buy a jeep about 2 months ago and was served by the general manager. He laughed in my face when I said I would like a test drive as I don't want to spend over 80k on a car without test driving it. He said that there are no options for the SRT which I had to correct him on for eg. Spider monkeys, HK audio and so on, which he arrogantly acknowledged afterwards. Said that he would ignore any request for a quote sent by the company we were going to finance the car through and basically talked us out of buying a car off him. Me and my wife both left the dealership feeling confused as to what the hell had just happened. We were not there to joy ride and he was aware that my wife was one of the top finance people of the company which we would be financing the car through, which now means that one of Australia largest leasing companies will never consider his business for future customers. To be honest I left feeling like I sort of wanted to kick him in the Crown Jewels just for being such a C&@T. The list of insults continues but writing about him is making my blood boil again.
G33K, if you want good service and someone who will look after you I cannot recommend the new Chrysler Dodge Jeep dealership in hawthorn highly enough. I strongly recommend you go and have a talk to them, they are on Dandenong road and seem to be getting looked after by Jeep as far as stock go as they are a new dealership.
