He said that there are no options for the SRT which I had to correct him on for eg. Spider monkeys, HK audio and so on, which he arrogantly acknowledged afterwards. Said that he would ignore any request for a quote sent by the company we were going to finance the car through and basically talked us out of buying a car off him. Me and my wife both left the dealership feeling confused as to what the hell had just happened. We were not there to joy ride and he was aware that my wife was one of the top finance people of the company which we would be financing the car through, which now means that one of Australia largest leasing companies will never consider his business for future customers. To be honest I left feeling like I sort of wanted to kick him in the Crown Jewels just for being such a C&@T. The list of insults continues but writing about him is making my blood boil again.
G33K, if you want good service and someone who will look after you I cannot recommend the new Chrysler Dodge Jeep dealership in hawthorn highly enough. I strongly recommend you go and have a talk to them, they are on Dandenong road and seem to be getting looked after by Jeep as far as stock go as they are a new dealership.

Couldn't agree more
Steer clear of Brighton, Mentone and Chadstone.
They are part of the same group and all out of touch!!

Wow! I was an active member of a Melbourne Jeep forum when I had my WJ JGC back in 2005 - 2009, and back then they highly promoted and recommended the Brighton dealership. Maybe staff / ownership has changed since then. I had them on "my list" to see later this year

I have heard good things about the new Hawthorn dealership and glad to hear that Werribee have been good to you.

Re: Wait time for delivery - Australia

Two things that I absolutely need in a new car are, 1-Leather, and 2-Panoramic Sunroof. I wouldn't buy a car without them.

AND before all the Melbourne weather jokes start, we actually DO get a lot of sunny days down here too

Ha ha ,it's funny though I had the pano debate with the wife she was passionate about it, at the end of the day she loves v8's as much as I do, we do a bit long distance cruise so I wasn't gonna deny her some input into what we end up with. One thing we were totally 100% on was th HK sound system, the alpine sound system in the the overland is nothing short of " awesome" , I check the Web site drivesrt .com which had interview with the sound techs from Harman karmon. Which goes into depth on design an layout of the system specially for the grand cherokee, seems impressive, so hard having to wait, not long now.

Re: Wait time for delivery - Australia

We'll I picked up my SRT today. I was happy not to wait 6 months for it, and I got a fair deal, all things considered. The dealer Sunco on the Sunshine Coast were great to deal with and gave me great service.

Re: Wait time for delivery - Australia

Sorry to hear you have to wait, I can understand maybe double thinking.
I managed to get my SRT back in December straight away.
Even managed to negotiate on price & package. Had great service from the salesmen & was keen to make a deal with the exact SRT I wanted in stock.
Good luck, PM & I'll let you know what deal I got.
Adam

Re: Wait time for delivery - Australia

Hi guys..
Well my first post after lurking here for so long...

Finally in a position to look at getting a SRT. Stock in Perth seems to be a bit limited but there is a possibility of one in Bunbury, 160k away, (2 actually, one is a demo with 5k on the clock, which I am not interested in).

Anyway I would appreciate any advice before I start any serious negotiations..

Cheers.

Re: Wait time for delivery - Australia

Anyone with stock will be asking top dollar, as they will move quickly.
I drove 1000km to get the right one, as the delivery times are up to 6 months.

Anything less than $85k for a loaded one or $80k for the base one is great.
The only other advice is just to get one, they are off their nut.

Re: Wait time for delivery - Australia

Thanks Enforcer..

If this doesn't pan out I might take a page out of your book and look interstate. Drive it back to Perth and have a holiday at the same time.

Cheers..
