Re: Wait time for delivery - Australia

Just got phone call at 4.30pm from my dealer, "your srt Grand Cherokee has arrived". You wouldn't believe it i'm back to work tomorrow (fly in/fly out). Not home for another 2 weeks! Got to laugh though its been a roller coaster ride waiting for the srt wk2, this just tops it off perfectly! Not sure if i should be so bold as to say i'm the proud owner of this awsome vehicle as i just don't have those electronic keys in my hands as i write this!

Anyone driven their SRT on the sand at all? Want to know if it would go ok with the different gear ranges as parents live in Noosa and Fraser Island is an obvious trip.

It will handle the sand no worries, as long as it's not really soft and rutted. The front spoiler will be your biggest concern, it will act like a wedge if it gets too low into the sand. You'll also have to consider the brake ducts, they will just direct loose sand onto your nice shiny Brembos

THanks mate I am stoke about it, time frame is nearly correct to second update from 4wks ago, its interesting though the time it takes from wharf to dealer as it sounds like it gets down to the dealer abilitly to process there side of things, not to worry, gcgms your beast can't be far away now!

Hi Guys I believe there was a price rise of $3K..on these from 1/5/2014....I have mine on order should be arriving anytime now...Will the price rise apply to vehicles with a compliance after 1 May...or apply to all vehicles received after this date...I'm sure the offer to purchase allows the dealer to charge for any increases on new cars....thanks...

Re: Wait time for delivery - Australia

Correct you are, basically gone up $1,000 with a few exceptions.
Check your contract and see what it says about price changes.

SRT, obviously they feel they can push that up far more as demand is just so much greater than supply and it is still far cheaper than the competition.

Laredo 4x4 3.0 $51,000.00

Re: Wait time for delivery - Australia

Yep, I was informed of the increase a few days ago. High $80k's now if you want one. I know of 3 SRT's coming in the next 2 months if anyone wants one soonish.

Re: Wait time for delivery - Australia

Glad I did not wait. It is good news for all the current owners for resale value.
