One from Jay Leno with serial number 1 would be better, but that unit is likely going to go to a smart investor.
First one went to Rick Hendrick, one time color, and was sprayed by hand at the Viper plant in Viper's Striker Red color.

Re: Wanna buy a Hellcat?

I used to watch a few of his earlier shows, and yes they were entertaining, but then I quickly got tired of the scripted BS and cocky attitude…..the above video of his new Hellcat cements his reputation….I too wouldn't touch anything he has owned…yet alone the prices he asks.

All I am saying is buy the SRT and peek and tweek it yourself and get as much hp as the hellcat or more.

Well they clearly don't know what they are talking about. A simple pulley swap will yield more boost. The unit that comes with the hellcat isn't maxed out yet. A different supercharger isn't going to be able to yield much more boost. A turbo setup I can understand.

By the time you install a forged motor and supercharger on a regular SRT you'll be in atleast 15k. Not to mention the upgraded axles and drivetrain that come with the hellcat and also the nicer factory options like the seats. And there's definitely something to be said about owning a "hellcat" rather than a plain old SRT. All backed by a 5 year 100k warranty your not gonna get anywhere else. You know it's gonna last and if it doesn't they'll fix it for free. I'm on board. But the 20k dealer markup is insane but that will come down when they can't move the cars.

They may never get some of the cars, seems some dealers were ordering way too many, more than were being built.

The price isn't too shabby for a vehicle of that type.

Wonder if the engines will ever be available as crated motors with addon kits..
