Re: Want to sell my 2012 SRT8 Grand Cherokee SRT 8

No reserve starting at $55K for a vehicle with 2200 miles on it :O Someone is going to get a great deal. Good luck!

Wish I had the funds at current. No doubt you will sell it.

AND, you already blacked out the crome. It looks beautiful! C'mon folks, someone make a bid from here and keep it in the family

Re: Want to sell my 2012 SRT8 Grand Cherokee SRT 8

FWIW, my dealer quoted me sticker at around 57k new.

Ive always heard cars lose 50% as soon as you drive it off the lot, so my offer is 31,250.

Cars don't lose anywhere near 50% value within 5 years of driving it off the lot unless you have frame damage...

The MAJORITY of vehicles lose MORE than 50% of their value after 5 years. Some as much as 80%.

The AVERAGE is a 45% drop after 3 years.

They lose more like 20% as soon as you take delivery.

Thats bullshit if you ask me. They are worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. If I drive the car from the dealer to my house and then try to sell it, its not worth 50% or even 20% less, nothing has physically changed on it.

In fact, in the case of my car I would argue it is worth more since I had it. I was able to get the dealer to leave the plastic on it and put it through a 6 hour detailing session that I've never seen a dealer do. Usually they have someone working for minimum wage wash it with dirty wash mits and begin the process of adding swirls to your brand new paint.

Re: Want to sell my 2012 SRT8 Grand Cherokee SRT 8

dude a vehicle like an srt isnt the greatest investment in the world. A friggin boat??? omg you must be kidding talk about losing value with age and gas prices going over 4 bucks for regular by summer, and thats on land, probably 7 or 8 on the water. pretty sure you will regret this decision. not to mention only 3 months per year of use. Of course if you got the cheese like that than its all moot, party on.

You could argue all you want but im sure you know its true new is new 1000 or 1500 hundred miles is not and the seller is going to take a hit.In addition i would think alot of people would be leary of buying something with such low miles, thinking its got problems, or been wrecked

Re: Want to sell my 2012 SRT8 Grand Cherokee SRT 8

Guys have and are still paying circa $62k for this rig.

OP puts his loaded with 2200k miles up for sale and someone might be able to hit the bid at $55k?

Seems like a win-win with the minor exception of those who paid $62k or those that miss this auction.

What? Oh, nothing honey. No, I'm not about to buy another WK2. But check out this steal. Want one?

I wonder what my wife would do if I bought it and then when she got upset at me I used her line "But honey, look I saved $15,000.00 'cause it was 20% off"
