Bad news man.. the dealer had my SRT for 2 weeks b4 they found one.. try to look up some dealerships in NY.. and your dealer can order it for you if they have it.

Yes all the mopar pumps are on a massive back order, you should be able to get a aftermarket one though.

There was a time when rebuilt water pumps were common. Are they still available, even just to use until new ones are back in stock? If it was a matter of driving or parking the Jeep it might be a good choice.

I have a 5.7 and not an SRT, but just a couple weeks ago my dealer got FCA to approve installing an aftermarket water pump, to be replaced with an OEM when they become available.

edit: under the powertrain warranty. Invoice lists a NAPA part.

Seriously, get them to get an aftermarket approved until the OEM is available.

I personally think it is crazy for them to take my rig back in to put a Mopar pump in when it becomes available, but whatever.

In the past my dealer has done squat going back to FCA, but this time they did it without my even asking.

The waterpumps all have the threaded hole for the oil cooler nipple, but the 5.7s have a plug in the hole.

The Gates (same PN as NAPA) replacement comes with both the plug and the nipple.

About a year ago I was having some issues with a dealership getting replacement parts for maxcare(the particular part is the 11-13 liftgate handle).

After 8 weeks I made a few calls through to Chrysler, and through to maxcare warranty fulfillment and the part is no longer in production, with no replacement part assigned to the vehicle. Although the 5.7 is obviously still in production, its possible that this specific water pump is no longer being produced.

That's the best guess I have to whats going on. It's obviously not realistic for them to discontinue a part without having a new part to replace it, but it certainly wouldn't be the first time it's been done to a vehicle less than 5-6 years ago.

Hi All,

Sorry to bring this thread back to life, I have an Australian Delivered 2013 Jeep GC SRT8 Vapor (pre facelift) and my water pump is on the way out.

Can anyone confirm if the water pump 5038677AD will fit the ''EXPORT" (RHD model) ... or if the export model has a different part all together? i checked with a for US Mopar sites and they advise based on my VIN that it should fit .. the only reason i ask is from a dealership in Australian they want $1800AUD for a water pump which is absolutely absurd!

Thanks in advance.

Mark.
